One word can describe this song: DUDE. This song absolutely rocks SO HARD. At the beggining you hear the drummer beating on all the drums and the guitar in the background and then it just hits you like: WHOOOOOOOSSHHHH! to describe the feeling it would be like youre listening to this in your car with your system up full blast and youre driving down the highway at like 150 miles an hour, weaving in and out of traffic evading the cops, and getting out of your car and running for ten miles through stores and hopping fences, and finally getting beat down. I think this songs about the maybe nots that we have in life, the "maybe shes not who i thought she was" or "maybe hes a lying SOB" those type of moments where you want to give people a chance and they only throw it back in your face, and it es you off to no end, and you just wanna break stuff and fly into a rage. Its about the chance you gave them so honestly. Its about telling them "you had your chance and now im gone so buh bye" sometimes you gotta get ed and let people know how you feel or theyre gonna walk all over you.

This songs about realizing that what youve been doing over the years is completely and utterly meaningless. you come to a point in your life when you realize what the world's truly about and you dont like it one bit. The walls he talks about are his own personal demons and being confined is not understanding why pain has to happen. He has a time in his life when he wants to just push everything away and not have an explanation from anyone, just the fact that every bit of it is meaningless.

This song means to me that when youre being decieved you need to see what its doing to you. Its about seeing that youre being controlled by powers that you dont need to be. He says "remove from me this deception that i call love" he means that love is a deception when its misused, like with addiction, or with any kind of addiction. He says only through struggle have i found rest, he means that only through a battle of , sweat and tears can we succeed in beating the demons that lie deep inside the soul. He then says that with a piece of me taken away, sometimes that happens, you feel that because youre fighting your personal demons that you feel like you lose a piece of who you are. Its about being able to yell in the face of your demon and tell it no.

I think this songs about love. He's talking to a trying to show her how much he wants to love her and show her the best things in life. Its a that hes known for a long time and shes lost trust in him, and he wants her to come back. He says "Ive been fooled by the illusions in my head" he means that he was the wrong person when he first made the mistake of making her angry. But the he says "You took me anywhere i wanted to go" he then talks like it never happened and hes left alone. So its almost as if he's looking at both sides of the coin, saying whats it gonna be like if i go back with her and whats it gonna be like if i dont. Relationships are tough, and this song makes total sense when talking about them.

I think this songs about life and the quest to understand. Its about leaving a big time in your life and trying to figure out why it had to end. He says "My independence is turning the page, tommorow comes we start to fade." He's saying that being an indpendent person is the quickest way to see the story unfold and understand it. He means that people have to part once in a while. Then he says "I only keep what i give away" he's saying that the only thing he ever holds on to is memories of the past, and so the only reality that he has is in his memories but he doesnt understand the future and so he cant understand his memories. Realism is knowing what makes sense, its almost as if in this song he's battling with himself, trying to decide is reality the past or is it the future or is it none of the above. He says will the dice ever roll, its saying will he ever see his chances become outcomes, will he be able to see the effect of what he hopes. I think we all feel this way, we dont know the future and so we try to take chances and make it better by figuring out what the past meant, understanding that the transition is systematic according the general everday opinion of the world, to the world life is only everday occurences, but being a realist is looking at reality and seeing it for more than it is, thats reason enough to go on. I think this song is about youth, moving on from being a child to a teenager and from a teenager to an . It's about connecting with a place that you hold dear to your heart, because you have memories that are so beautiful that they can never leave your thoughts. It reminds me of EFY everytime i hear it, cuz there was a guy that played it on the piano for us during lunch one day during EFY, it was amazing. This song is about remembering how far you've come in your life and realizing that you cant go back physically but you can go back mentally to "somewhere only we know" Its about dreaming of the past and dreaming of the future at the same time. And how he says "i sat by the river and it made me complete" thats saying how people need to feel like they can move on, he also talks about "im getting older and i need something to rely on" its about being able to let go of temporary happy moments, its about accepting that things have to end. People dont ever forget each other, and thats why they need to go "somewhere only we know" its about not just a place but a state of mind that you can go back to to be truly happy and feel peace. This song shows that memories are what keep people going.

THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! COLDPLAY AND CHRIS MARTIN ARE AMAZING MUSICIANS!!! THEYVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!! the piano at the beggining of this song is so ethereal and melodic, its kind of eerie sounding, everytime i hear this song it gives me the chills, thats what real music is people, if you dont get goosebumps from listening to it then its not a real song, because you need to feel the emotion from it. This song is about time and the creations of man, how even though technology advances we're still people and we still have feelings and we still make mistakes. Its about being able to fit into life and being able to learn to love each other when science sometimes becomes the downfall of alot of things. It's about being able to look at what you do have in a world of technology that some people have a hard time understanding. The speed of sound that he's talking about is not only the advancement of technology but the advancement of human love and the advancement of human life, looking at whats important is what counts.

I think this song is about not letting your life be permanent, i think its a contradiction of what he's saying. I guess its his tone of voice that kind of says "dont let your life be something you dont want" because he says nothing is permanent hes saying your life doesnt have to end the way everyone else would want it to. He's saying that you have to take action and make your life what YOU WANT.

This song is about being able to let go after a huge period in your life. He talks about "mark your place in time with another question why" thats all we ever do in life is question why. And we keep doing that until that period is over and then theres no reason to ask why anymore, because that time in your life is over. He says all you want is to find home, he's saying that all people ever want to do is find where they feel the most comfortable. Leaving a place that you've dwelled in for years is accepting the fact that you have to move on. I think this song is about the fact that when we leave a big period in our life we have to be alone for a time and then we have to find a new period to settle down in. This song is about being able to journey away from a place and from people and to collect your thoughts and then going to another place, finding where you belong after the fallout. Lonliness is only temporary, we have to have it to think about whats happen over the past few months, years. People they laugh, they cry, they get angry at each other, and then they move on, people go away and you find new people that give those feelings to you. Its about knowing that you made a difference, you left a legacy behind, and at the end of the day youre the one who has to walk away from it, the memories you leave behind are what matters, people have to accept that things wont last. This song is about a guy who is so tired of everything around him and all the people he sees. Every effort thats put in to his life doesnt bring any results and time stands still for him when he finds love. Seeing all the beef that goes on around him doesnt satisfy anything and he doesnt believe that involving himself is important. All that matters to him is that he's human and that he's lived through his trials, he wants to make it through so he can walk away from the problems that he deals with. He realizes that his friends believe that time is endless but he knows in his heart that time is a shorter period to him and thats why he can move on better than anyone else. He believes that he doesnt owe his friends anything, because IT WONT LAST and putting insignificant feelings into insignificant events is not seeing perspective and the big picture.
