This song reminds me of my first love... Even though I loved her so much (More than I've ever loved anything) I realized later that she never felt like I did... I didn't show her as much as I should have. And she always used to say... "It's like you're not even here...". It's hard to listen to this song. But comforting to know that I wasn't the only one to make such a huge mistake. |

Actually what I got from this song was totally differant from everyone else's. In this song he's telling the girl that he's currently with that he wants out. Because he just isn't happy, And it hurts to be with her. So he keeps telling her "It's been a long time coming
But we done been fell apart
Really wanna work this out
But I don't think you're gonna change" And than he goes on to say that he misses somone else, "It's been 3 11 days, umpteen hours?" So he's breaking up with his current girl because he misses another girl. "When your feeling ain't the same and your body don't want to " about the current girl and "Hate the thought of her being with somone else but you" Is about the girl he'd lost. So yeah... This song describes the emotions of a woman who tried ever so vainly to have this man love her, But failed constantly in every attempt. She even tried to ignore it as though it were just a phase, But that didn't work either. So her salvation lay within saying goodbye, Giving up. The song seems sad but it has a serious undertone of self-respect. "Theres no greater power than the power of goodbye" So by breaking the shackles that bound her to him she set herself free, And found her salvation. So in a sense the best qoute I can give you is. I heard that this song is about homesexuality and aids in that population. Although I find small parts where that might be feasible. But I'm really not sure, And since I'm the only one making a comment on it, I suppose you should take it with a grain of salt. |
