I think the line: 'and if theres only one thing you should know, its that the stitches that we've made are the best i've ever sewn.' should actually be: 'and if theres only one truth that i know, its that the stitches that we've made are the best i've ever sewn.' Beautiful song, I love the way Josh Pyke writes. |

This one is a hard one. Some parts of the song make me think its about a relationship, 'The feelings change so fast.' And the relationship needs to end because its 'going nowhere in the fake yellow light.' But others make me think its about some sort of addiction to a 'weakness.' But then again maybe their weakness and poision is the chase that comes with a new relationship. I guess only Jim and the boys know the truth. Alot of JEW songs never come out and say things bluntly, thats what makes them so unique. So I doubt the 'take another drink with me' line is directly saying come drink alcohol with me because we are addicts. I am *Polaris* sister so you can see on her thing what we've been discussing about this song. However most of the things we think it could be are contradicted by other lines in the song. Very good song no matter what you think its about. As with the majority of their songs the music often distracts you from the lyrics, but both are so beautiful, so take the time to listen to both. Can't wait til JEW come to Australia!! |
