| I think I agree with tamuz, that it's about wishing a girl would like you, or notice you, for that matter. but I think the term 'sick and selfless' means that he's given so much of his energy (and himself, for that matter) into this girl. He's given too much. he hasn't gotten anything back from her, therefore he becomes mentally ill. the sick in sick and selfless. | |

I agree with the drugs and pregnancy theory, but I think it could be things other than drugs. not eating healthy, anorexia, and other unhealthy things for your soon to be born child. I bleieve that "do you carry the moon in your womb?" means something like the child losing it's life... not dying, but just losing an opportunity to live in a healthy and good way for a child. and the "Little lune, all day" means the situation that the child is in... it's like the moon itself. missing the love of your kin may refer to a single pregnant mom life... she's got no strong support to get any better. I think that's all I have for an input now... perhaps more later if I can figure out the rest. |

| I'm saying that the song is fighting against murdoc's intentions. the zombie gorillas were after him in the video, not going with him. he loves satan, and they were sent from God to rid him from this world. I can see what you mean by it should be evil, but I don't think murdoc wrote the song. but the religion was just a thought, I would say that it's got a strong message through this song. | |

after reading this a few times, I finally got it. I think this song is extremely religious. the rapper in it is (I hope those of you who believe in a different higher power don't mind if I refer to him as) God. "finally, someone let me out of my cage" means that the spirit inside russel (you must see the video to get this) is getting his chance to say what he needs to and get his message across the world. being good at repairs and making it all manageable means giving more sense to the world, knowing that there's a heaven out there for you someday. "pick and choose, sit and loose all you different crews, chicks and dudes, who you think is really kickin tunes?" I believe that means that Christianity is the most popular religion of this world, and there's a reason for that. "picture you gettin down in a picture tube, like you lit the fuse" I think that means that so many people take too much credit for themselves, and they should realize that everyone gives an equal amount to the world, no matter what. "you think it's fictional? mystical, maybe, spiritual, hearable" I think that means that so many people don't believe in christianity, but most religions are based around the same thing. people don't really realize that they all worship the same type of things. and some things in christianity are mystical, just people don't quite realize it, but it's all around us. "what appears in you is a clearer view cause you're too crazy" I think that this means that religion kinda clears up stuff for us, and gives more sense to the world. "lifeless to know the definition for what life is" I think that this means if we really knew all of what life is, we'd be depressed about what the answer, cause we expect something worth the most honor in the world, but it really may not live up to it. "priceless to because I put you on the hype shit" this could mean that all the gospels and stories of Jesus have been changed so much that whenever you find the answer, it will vary from what you've read in the bible to such a great extent that you could be devastated or pleasantly surprised. as for the last few lines of that verse, I'm not too sure. I think you can get the next verse from what I've written here. If you can't, just leave a comment here saying so, and I'll analyze the next verse. As for the chorus, I think 2D is posing as Jesus. "I ain't happy, I'm feelin glad" means that he's not too happy about the path ahead of him, but he's glad that he's bringing peace for the majority of people ahead of him. "I got sunshine in a bag" I believe that refers to the deal he made with God, his crusifixion as the bag, and the sunshine as the happiness that's brought to all of his believers. "I'm useless, but not for long, the future is coming on" I think these are some thoughts that Jesus could have had up on the cross.. cause in that moment in time, he had no power or matter in the world yet, but he knew that soon, he would make one of the biggest differences in the world. I'm sorry if I offended anyone with this, but I believe that's what this song is about. After all, in the video, the gorillas that come out of the ground (which, mind you, the rapper (God) has control over)grab Murdoc's balls and pull him to the ground, and chase after him in the video, cause if you haven't noticed, whenever Murdoc wears a shirt, he has an upside-down cross neclace. Why else would the gorillas go after him? |

whoops, I made a mistake as for the *monkey between the battles of his brain and his tail and I also forgot to add, "get the cruel shoe shine" I believe means that it can be often hard to 'make your own shoes' because of people making fun of you and being excluded and such, but in the end, your shoes will shine like the sun. |

| I think you're right, archagon, but I think it's also about more than music. it's about everything in general... like, the lead nike shoes resemble what's in (it could be at school, at work, the roller skating rink, etc.), and making your own shoes resemble paving your own path, and doing things your way. 2D's mama resembles the advise of others that have "made their own shoes". as for the money between the battles of his brain and tail, that's a symbol for the people who do buy the lead nike shoes, and time's elimination has to do with as much fun you can have making your own shoes. and "please repeat the message, it's the music that we choose!" goes for, who you are really does depend upon the music that you listen to. but not only music, it's how you dress, how you style your hair, how often you take showers.. the list can go on forever. this is an amazing song with an amazing message, it's one of my favorites. | |
