As the Doors lead singer, Jom Morrison would say, This song is all about Opening Yourself to "The Doors Of Perception". Even though "The Lizard King, (Morrison) WAS definately on to something, he ended up Losing his own Life by Not heeding the WArning signs, hense, He Drank & Druged himself to death. When Morrison wrote this song, I suspect that he may have Known somehow that he Physical time here on our planet would Soon end, We'll meet again, we'll meet again, & When we get back I'll drop a line. . . are both great examples. In many way, Simon is a lot like Morrison in that he too has a Mystical way about himself, but one of the main differences between Morrison & Le Bon, is that Le Bon Heeds the Warning Sirens! :D |

Ok, Simon has been told by many people both in his past & presnt that he looks too much like Elvis "The Pelvis" Presley. This is his frustrations coming out in this song. It's obvious that He does Not want to be compared to the Fat Elvis, (I've read a few articles where Simon is very sensitive about this.) but, I still think that Not everyone compares Simon to the Fat, Bloated Elvis, I Know I don't....& I actually think Simon looks more like Elvis during his younger years when he was just starting out. Please, for Simon sake, If you ever do get the chance to actually Meet Simon Le Bon in person, & say you mentionjust how much he looks like Elvis, Please make sure to tell him that he looks like the Younger Elvis that we all see on TV, & that Simon does Not look like Elvis before he died! Thankyou! :D |

This is a rather sad song that simon wrote in one of his Depressed moods. It sound to me that Simon is Not happy being married to Yasmin. In fact, they seem to fight all the time, & Simon's is getting tired of hearing all her deceitful Lies. (This may or may Not actually be true, but this Is what I get from this song.) It's really sound like simon's really in pain because he wants out of the marriage, & he also sounds like He's Not happy at all. |

To me, This song is about a conflict of different Universes. One that is physical in nature, say being married to a woman but Not being very happy, & wanting to be with another woman that one just can Not be with. This is a rather sad song actually. It's about having to live with consequences that one has made, & yet wanting to find true happiness in another woman that is Loved. |

Well, I have to agree with Twisha, this song is about having faith and strength in relationships, & how obstacles can get ing the way, but I also think this song is about Learning from the mistakes that we all make from time to time. It's true that sometimes things happen that we can never control, but it's really up to each of us to decide what is the right thing to do, which is Not easy to do sometimes. I'n short, this is a song about Learning from Your mistakes, & learning to think more positive for what will happen tomarrow, & mostly, this song is about keeping relationships strong & healthly & to work through problems head on. |

To me, this Is & Always will be one of the best singls DD have ever done! :D This is what I believe this song is about: It's all about the "Astral Body" also known as the ability to leave one's Physical body. I believe that Simon may have learned how to actually channel his inner Sexual energies into Khundalini Yoga & Meditation beginning when he traveled to Isreal years ago before Duran Duran were what they are today. I think that Simon has worked on attempting to remember what he sees & experencies & this song is one of many singles that discribe his own personal mystical experiences via Yoga, & Meditation. This song is about one of his own personal Out Of Body Travels, of course this Is my own opinion, so I don't expect You to believe me. If you interested in learning more, Please feel free to do so. :D Here are a few example I've taken Out of Simon's lyrics: "the butterfly escapes the killing jar", this meaning his Astral (Spirit) Body Leaving his Physical Body.....& "Freefall on a windy morning shore. Nothing but a fading track of footsteps to prove that you'd ever been there.
