What a great breakup song! Unfortunately, the breaking up part blows, but it happens! This happens to be the ex g/f's favorite song, which was very fitting. I quoted these lyrics for her, and we got back together. Sadly, six months later, we're back in the same position. I think I really messed it up this time. But thankfully, this is a very easy song to learn on the piano. I don't know how to play, but I taught myself this song. If that doesn't score some points, I don't know what well. So if you're using this song to try to fix something broken, sit down at a keyboard, and memorize these chords in order: Dm, Bb, F, C/F. It's very easy to learn. Now if I could just get my voice to sound like Chris Martin's.... |

Wow. This was my girlfriend's favorite song, and to tell you the truth, I despised it because she played it so much. It was a great song, but you can only hear a song so many times, especially if it's a genre of music you don't really dig. But now that we've been broken up for a month, I can listen to it and follow the lyrics and realize exactly how much it means to me. The lyrics are right on. It almost makes me wonder if she wasn't trying to tell me something by playing the song as much as she did! Anyways, I guess I'll have to give the rest of Coldplay's tunes a fair chance now! |

Yeah, and Metallica has never been known to do a cover, either. PLEASE! No disrespect to Metallica, but talk about a band that sold out. Metallica ten or fifteen years ago was as good as it gets, but this new stuff is horrid. And I'm sorry, but they have degraded multiple artists themselves, including Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Bob Seger, all bands that are significantly deeper and better than Metallica could ever be. Not to mention, they wouldn't complain about Napster or anything like that, because they weren't in it for the money. They actually did it for the music! |
