DarrenBaker is thinking in a similar way to me. Though I think it's more about having split personalities yourself. See the lines: "Shapes of every size Move behind my eyes Doors inside my head Bolted from within Every drop of flame Lights a candle in Memory of the one Who lived inside my skin" I like the way Cornells lyrics can be interpreted in many ways, and conjure up very graphic images. |

| I agree with heavens_mistake. This song is about escaping from the drudgery of everday life and it's problems. As to the idea about Chris' car, I wouldn't take his lyrics literally. Cornell is reknowned for his use of similes and abstract ideas. See his work with Soundgarden. Gasoline could mean anything. | |
