I always thought the song is about the horrors of very close relationships that confine both lovers. But as I read the lyrics again just now, I guess it's simply about siamese twins forced to go through live together. |

Beautiful song about a person that's born blind, yet is able to associate images with the sounds and his thoughts in his dreams. This allows him to make his memories more livid. Love the guitar solo. |

I'm sure the song is meant to be understood in the exact opposite way. It's about sexism and the way lots of men still don't respect women (the term 'missing link' refers to the backwardness of those people). The line about 'chick' and 'stupid chick' is written from the perspective of one of those macho types. The part about animals being abused is about the empathy some men feel for animals, while some women are treated just the same and they don't see that. Also, the line 'equal rights are fine, as long as she's in her place' is obviously sarcastic. I can't see how this can be interpreted in any other way. |
