This song is the greatest break-up/breakdown song ever written. So much emotion has been put into this song. Browne's voice sounds as open and heartfelt as his words. It's use in Taxi Driver was perfect as the relationship between Travis and reality was eventually ended in the scene where the song was used. Beautiful and harsh at the same time. I cannot praise this song enough. |

lyrically this is one of the trio's best songs. It's so honest without the trio's usual cartoon gore. Dan is such a special writer and these words should be the rule of life. The IRA are scum.Period. So are the English, the UVF, UFF, and so on... But to justifythe IRA is to justify the recent attacks there have been in New York and London(most recently). And any American who can justify scum like the IRA must be able to justify other terrorists such as Al Qaida. The Irish aren't as perfect as people make out, both sides of the divide, so don't pretend they are all happy, fun lovin' drunkards. White protestant Europeans went to America and flourished, maybe in the persecution of others, but can anyone tell me which race of people has not persecuted another? |

I wouldn't say it's a poem made into a song 'cos Nick13 has captured a visual aspect that Poe didn't "Kingdom in ruins", "Stars shall burn and the moon glows" meaning that his heart has been destroyed and that he will always have hope of seeing her again. Also "ocean whispers in night air" shows a supernatrual image too. Just my opinion though! |

Wow! Just an amazing song. The reason I discovered this fantastic artist was 'Scrubs'. Simply a song about love and what it means to love someone unconditionally without them loving you back, I think - almost stalker like.lol Although I think it should be called My Love. |

Being alone and helpless and having to deal with problems all on your own. That's just my take on the song and it's one of my favorites on the new album. Ak3 are still a fantastic band. |
