John never denied that the song was about any of his LSD trips. What he did deny, consistantly, is that the song title was chosen to spell out LSD. The title does in fact come from a watercolour that his son did, titled Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. So, long story short: Song = about LSD Song title = taken from a watercolour |
