i believe it's about drugs... elliott used to do a bunch of adderall and i'm sure meth. st ides heaven you'll hear "high on amphetamines" im not going to elaborate on the meaning of the words as other people have already nailed it pretty much. it's about doing speed.... one thing i like about this song is the line "to follow the path of no resistance" elliott was into electronics for music...building his own stuff... so he has knowledge of that... in an electronic circuit you know that power follows the path of least resistance..so that's an analogy of course for himself. i just realized this and made the connection. it's kind of cool to see where he comes from with certain lyrics. |

okay, to all you people who say it's about god, just because their a christian band, it doesn't mean it's about god, i don't think it has anything to do with god, i think it's all about his fiance and how she died in his arms,i don't mean to copy you 7under7oath7, he's ALONE cause she's gone, december is when she died, it has nothing to do with jesus and how he's alone without him, that's just dumb, definitely not a song about religion |
