this song could very well be, and probably is about God's relentlessness. People like Eddievanhillbillie just aren't profound enough to grasp the true message behind the metaphor. It's really easy to look at the surface of this song and say that it's about an abuse dad, but if you go one step further and look beyond the surface, you might see that James's qualms with god are a lot like our own; sorry eddievanhillbillie, that might be a little hard for a hic to comprehend. I don't know about you religious people out there but it's time to wake up and smell the fucking coffee, your wasting your time. |

Anyone who thinks that metallica is a sell out b/c of napster is fucking retarted. The only reason why they were pissed is because people where downloading demo's that weren't done and/or finished. Imagine the frustration of trying to finish demos, meanwhile everyone all over the fuckin globe has already downloaded it as if it was the complete version. Money hungry? Don't think so; Metallica has unfathomable talent whether you like their recent stuff or not. Regardless, they are human and are prone to stumble in their great journey toward musical perfection so before you bash metallica, get your facts straight. |
