this song is simply beautiful and haunting..
one of the reasons i really like this song, and NMH, is that jeff sounds like he really means what he sings. and you can tell he means it through what the lyrics say too. he sounds like he could cry or scream at any moment. but anyway, this whole album is based on his love of anne frank, and dreams that he had about a jewish family during world war II..that's what it said on several websites. but i think that one of the best things about this band is that the lyrics are beautiful, but can be interpreted several different ways. They are cryptic. |

Has anyone heard the radio edit of this song?? They cut Frusciante's 2nd guitar solo (i think it is his 2nd) short! really sucks that they did that. |

What i meant by "take the music for what you hear" is that what the meaning of this song to people on this website could be completely different than what the song means to the band. Sometimes, it is better to try not to decipher the exact meaning of the song and drill what you think into other people's minds. Do you notice on the add your comments box, it says, "What does this song mean to you?" Emphasis on YOU. So, in conclusion, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks on the website all that matters is what the song means to you. Take the music for what you hear. |

Personally, Why does it even matter if Omar is Cuban or Puerto Rican?? It has nothing to do with the song. Frogs don't either. People are looking too much in depth. Accept the music for what you hear. |

This song is great. By far my favorite on the entire album. I want to see them at Warped Tour this year also. Can't wait for it!! It bothers me how people label this band and others as emo. How can you put your heart and soul into something you create and it not be emo?? Just something to wonder about. |

Actually i heard something completely different. This album, according to what i heard, is based on a journal that the bandmate Jeremy Ward(RIP)" found while working as a repo man." says singer/lyricist Cedric Bixler-Zavala. Ward claimed he had a lot in common with the author of this journal(who was adopted and looking for his parents) and wanted to make an album of it. The names of each song is named after people in the diary. Each person that the author met pointed him in the direction of finding his biological parents. So..... THIS is what the album is about. oh, the band mate didn't overdose, he committed suicide. and thank you, jreniel, for a good translation. I was starting to put the same translation, (without the little history facts) but then i saw yours and was greatly relieved. thank you again. |
