if you honestly believe that this song is not about drugs you yourself are on crack, when it was written by a man who was frequently taking lsd at the time, and the beatles had just released sgt peppers and had gained a vast amount of scrutiny for supposedly influencing youngsters to do drugs, john wasn't going to go and say yeah i wrote a lovely song about the wonders of lsd was he, and that his son really did do a picture of a girl randomly in the sky with diamonds seems far less believable to me, especially with johns well known ability to get out of awkward questions with clever responses in interviews, and its just too perfect a depiction of lsd to not be about it |
