My first post and I screw up a sentence! Andrew Oldham told them, "How many obscure great songs can You find to cover?" Or at least something to that effect. I have to tell you that there's something to be said for this technique. You truly don't know what you're capable of until you force yourself (or forced by someone else in this case!) to give it a serious try. As a huge Stones fan, I'm really glad Andrew Oldham locked those two in that room all those years ago... |

OpinionHead, I think it's pretty cool that this is your favorite song since it was the first original song that Mick and Keith wrote together. Keith said in an interview that their manager at the time (Andrew Oldham) told them, "How many obscure great songs can find to cover?" He then locked Mick and Keith in a room and told them not to come out until they had a song. Keith said they came out with "The Last Time". Oh well, I like the song too.. |
