| Aqua – Barbie Girl Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
this is one of those songs like i like, but at the same time i hate. But it's such a funny song. I dont know know why you people are taking it so seriously. it's a joke. |
|
| Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"purse of a different kind" has something to do with cocaine. which, like everyone else said. Makes sense with the sleezy motel thing goin on. |
|
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I dont really get this video. It's very confusing. You only see Brandon, and little small bits of everyone else. And plus, what's with all the freakin circus people? That video makes no sence. |
|
| Hawthorne Heights – Saying Sorry Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Saying goodbye, this time The same old story Seeing you cry Makes me feel like saying sorry That, like, the only part of the song I like. It's a good song. But, I dont know, something about all the other verses, i just dont like. I only like the course. I'll still buy the album and whatnot, but...i dont know. =/ |
|
| Ryan Cabrera – True Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I like this song a lot. His voice is beautiful. The lyrics are good, but his voice is the real reason I like listening to this song. And plus it reminds me of my boyfriend :) |

| Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
'I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck than any boy you'll ever meet sweetie you had me' i love that line. i dont know why. there's no point in arguing about this song's meaning. everyone agrees that it's about a girl who cheated on a guy and he's saying "you made a mistake for leaving me" "exchanging body heat, in the passenger seat" yup. I agree with Vee_Sweet. they definatly had HOT sex....in the passenger seat... |
|
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"what a beautiful wedding" says a bridesmaid to a waiter "yes, but what a shame, the poor groomsbride is a whore" then i chime in with a "haven't you people heard of closing a god damn door" about hearing the things you dont wanna hear. The character in this song is obviously getting married and hearing that his wife is a whore. well. you get the picture. 'look at it this way i mean technically our marrige is saved' hearing that she's a whore didn't affect anything. I could be wrong. But that is just what i think. |
|
| Simple Plan – I'm Just A Kid Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is so original it's not even funny. He's a grown man and he's talking about how he a kid? That's creepy. |
|
| My Chemical Romance – Helena Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is a great example of why My Chemical Romance sucks. This song is waaay to overplayed, the lead singers voice in annoying and you can barley understand what he's saying. My Chemical Romance sucks. No offence to anyone who likes them. |
|
| Green Day – Android Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Everyone is right. This song, and this whole album even, is about growing up and facing reality. | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
No it's not. How about I just repeat what I just said the I'll explain. I'm so sick of you people calling Green Day sellouts. When you sell out that means you change your style of music in order to gain popularity. Green Day has always been opinionated and this album was for their beliefs and their own personal satisfaction, not for people to like. You people need to learn the meaning of the word before you start firing accusations. Just because it was released after the Dixie Chicks "anti-Bush" thing, doesn't mean Green Day didn't start recording the album before then. There is a difference between releasing an album, and recording an album. Did it ever occur to you that more than one band can hate Bush? That's not selling-out, that's voicing your opinion. Seriously. Like I said before, learn the meaning of the word before you start firing accusations. |

Green Day has always been opinionated and this album was for their beliefs and their own personal satisfaction, not for people to like. You people need to learn the meaning of the word before you start firing accusations. As for the song, it's really catchy, easy to memorize, and really tells how things are happening right now. Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution. |

| Operation Ivy – Knowledge Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| ^ in most cases the original is better, but not in this case. I'm gonna go with BLAHness90. I like Green Day's cover better. | |
| Bloodhound Gang – Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is so cool. But those lyrics are obviously wrong.. Vulcanize the whoopee stick In the ham wallet Cattle prod the oyster ditch With the lap rocket Batter dip the cranny ax In the gut locker Retrofit the pudding hatch Ooh la la With the boink swatter If i get you in the loop when I make a point to be straight with you then In lieu of the innuendo in the end know my intent though I brazillian wax poetic so pathetically I don't wanna beat around the bush Foxtrot Unifrom Charlie Kilo Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Marinate the nether rod In the squish mitten Power drill the yippee bog With the dude piston Pressure wash the quiver bone In the bitch wrinkle Cannonball the fiddle cove Ooh la la With the pork steeple If i get you in the loop when I make a point to be straight with you then In lieu of the innuendo in the end know my intent though I brazillian wax poetic so pathetically I don't wanna beat around the bush Foxtrot Unifrom Charlie Kilo Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Put the you know what in the you know where Put the you know what in the you know where Put the you know what in the you know where Put the you know what in the you know where pronto |
|
| Green Day – Knowledge (Operation Ivy cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is actually a really good cover. I like it. | |
| Green Day – Jaded Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| No it's not an Operation Ivy cover. Anyway. This is kick ass. "Always move forward, going straight will get you no where" Those lines are awesome. | |
| Green Day – Bab's Uvula Who? Lyrics | 20 years ago |

|
| Green Day – I Want to Be Alone Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| "Please don't think I'm crazy I don't want you to understand" God damn that line kicks ass. | |
| Green Day – Dry Ice Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Alien8 you're the moron. That part isn't in the book. He says "Come ease the pain that's in my heart" I should know. I'm listening to this song right now. Dumbass. | |
| Green Day – 16 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is song is so cool. It's got a fun beat. This song is just about how much life sucks and how you never want to grow up. I love it. | |
| Green Day – Words I Might Have Ate Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Good call greendayfan02. I agree it's about not knowing what you have until it's gone. Like, you don't really appreciate what you have until you've lost it. | |
| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Todd, you're a fuckin idiot. I'm allowed to not like Blink 182. Don't get so mad at me just because I don't like the same band as you...I take it back, this song isn't that bad, it doesn't suck, but I still don't like Blink. Don't get so pissy... | |
| Blink-182 – I Know a Guy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| My friend Mike is obsessed with Blink, and on the last couple days of school he brought his CD player and me and him listened to the Mark, Tom, and Travis show, and when this song came up I laughed my ass off. I hate Blink. They use to be the shit, now they ARE shit. But this song is fuckin' hilarious. | |
| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I can't belive you people are actually fighting over this song. This song sucks. Blink sucks. End of story. | |
| Green Day – My Generation (The Who cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song kicks ass. It sounds better when Billie sings it, The Who's cover was the shit, but this one is more the shit... Kerplunk809: Hilary Duff covered...oh I"m sorry...BUTCHERED this song. It sounds like shit when she sings it. Instead of saying "I hope I die before I get old" she says "I hope I don't die before I get old" What a fucker. |
|
| Sum 41 – Pieces Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I like this song, it's probably how two people are living just one big lie because one of them is trying to hard to be perfect. I don't really know. I just think it fits. | |
| Green Day – On the Wagon Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Oh yea, and I think Billie Joe's vocals are really good on this song, I don't really know why, I just think he does a good job. | |
| Green Day – Uptight Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love this song, I agree with BillieKilledPunk. It makes sense. | |
| Green Day – Suffocate Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I agree drinkyouroj, it's about drugs and alcohal and how people let it control them, but they can't stop because they think they will suffocate. | |
| Green Day – Platypus (I Hate You) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is great live. I love it, it's great to scream when you're really pissed. I love it, it makes me smile. | |
| Green Day – I Want to Be on TV (Fang cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The only thing I don't like about the Shenanigans CD is there is to many cover songs. This is a Fang song. It's still good and all. It's about how stupid and materialist some celeberties are. And when it comes to television celeberties are so hungry for attention. | |
| Green Day – Do Da Da Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| You guys are all wrong, when Green Day was recording Insomniac they were trying to think of a name for Stuck With Me, they recorded, now, Do Da Da around the same time and that song was suposed to be called Stuck With Me because those words appear in the song. But there was a studio mix-up, and someone labeled the third track on Insomniac "Stuck With Me". When the band found out they thought it fit so they kept it. Later, they decided to release the real "Stuck With Me" as a b-side, so they gave it the nonsensical name "Do Da Da". Look on GDA that's what it says. | |
| Green Day – Desensitized Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love this song, I like the beat if it, it makes me smile. This song is about the internet. Obviously. If you can't see it, then you're a dumbass. | |
| Green Day – You Lied Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Really? I thought Warning was really good. But Dookie is probably my favorite. Anyway, it's pretty obvious what this song is about. You just sometimes know when someone is lying because the story seems almost impossible. The person stretched the truth. This song kicks ass. | |
| Green Day – On the Wagon Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I'm actually listening to this song right now. Anyway, everyone here makes a lot of sense, but this song could mean anything because the lyrics are so general. I've heard this song is about masturbation (So slap me on the hand put it right back down my pants) or it could be a love song (But tomorrow I'll be making up excuses for my actions 'cause it's been so long since I've been in love) It could be about anything. | |
| Green Day – One for the Razorbacks Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The meaning of this song is so obvious. It's obviously about a girl who has been hurt before, and some guy wants her and he's trying to get it to her that he isn't going to do anything that will make her upset or hurt her. | |
| Green Day – Maria Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Who is Maria? Where did she go? These questions will never be answered. Dun dun dun. j/k. I agree with Kerplunk809. It's about a girl who ran away from her problems. | |
| Green Day – 2,000 Light Years Away Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The first time Billie kissed Adrienne he went home and wrote this song. I heard that somewhere. I can't remember where though. | |
| Green Day – Christie Road Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this is my favorite song on the Kerplunk! CD. | |
| Green Day – 80 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Adriennes' nickname is adie. I guess he thought 80 made more sense. Anyway. Adrienne is so lucky. This is such a sweet song. It's one of my favorites on the Kerplunk! CD. | |
| Green Day – Jackass Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song probably is about Blink, considering at all of their shows they only play a few songs, and the reast of the time they're telling jokes. "You're well rehersed on every verse, and that was stated clear" But as for the "Green Day vs. Blink 182" Green Day wins by far in my book. I used to like Blink. But now I hate them. Ever since Enema of the State I hate them. Don't get me wrong, they USE TO be the shit. But now...They suck. | |
| Green Day – Church on Sunday Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| oops not reast rest. sorry | |
| Green Day – Church on Sunday Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
natnatnat666, your lyrics are wrong to. They go like this Today is the first day of the reast of our lives Tomorrow it's to late to pretend everything's alright I'm not getting any younger as long, as you don't get any older I'm not going to state that yesterday never was Bloodshot deadbeat and lack of sleep Making your mascara bleed tears down your face leaving traces of my mistakes If I promise to go to church on Sunday Will you go with me on Friday night? If you live with me I'll die for you and this compromise I hereby solemnly swear to tell the whole truth And nothing but the truth is what I'll ever hear from you "trust" is a dirty word that comes from such a liar but "respect" is something I will earn... If you have faith I typed these lyrics straigh from the book. And the book never lies. Anyway. I think this is about Adrienne. "today is the first day of the rest of our lives" might say that they had just got married. And people always tell you that when you get married it's the first day of the rest of your lives. And this compromise might mean at the wedding when you promise to be there for them and all that. In death and sickness. It's obvious this is about Adrienne. If you listen to it. You'll see. |
|
| Green Day – 86 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| You guys are morons. This song is about Mike and Billie being thrown out of Gilman, the one place they could be themselves, and what they called home. The people their called them sell outs because they got big, and they wern't the same anymore. This song is a big fuck you, we don't like you anymore, so get the fuck out of here. | |
| Green Day – Whatsername Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Here's how I see it. Jesus of Suburbia St. Jimmy Whatshername Are all characters in this story. And here's what I think it's all about. JOS (Jesus of Suburbia) wants to leave his home because he doesn't want to be an American Idiot (American Idiot) by letting Bush control him. And he want's to find the true meaning to the meaning of 'rebel' so he leaves home to live on the streets (Jesus of Suburbia) While he's walking he's thinking of the government and how much it sucks (Holiday) Then he still walks alone and is trying to find someone to help him lead the path he wants to go down, but there's no one there to help him so he's just walking alone (Boulevard of Broken Dreams) As JOS walks alone he relizes he's no longer the same person, he's not the king of the local 7-11 anymore, he's just still waiting for someone to help him (Are we the Waiting) Then he meets St. Jimmy, who is a drug dealer and helps him finally, but is saying dont mess with me because I'll fuck you up (St. Jimmy) Jimmy then introduces JOS to drugs, but JOS doesn't like the way it feelsso he doesn't want to feel anything, he want's novacain (Give me Novacain) JOS then meets Whatshername. He likes her a lot because she's a rebel and he could learn a lot from her. He just really likes her (She's a Rebel) Now Whatshername and JOS are like going out officially, but there are a lot of problems going on. (Extraordinary Girl) But Whatshername relizes she doesn't like him as much anymore because he's not who she though he was, so she sends him a letterbomb to break up with him (Letterbomb) Now JOS is really sad because she broke up with him and he wants to be left alone, apparantly until September ends. And when Billie joe says 'Like my fathers come to pass' he's comparing losing someone you really love who died, to a bad break up. (Wake me Up When September Ends) By then Jimmy kills himself, and all this bad shit is going on and JOS just wants to go home because he relized that leaving home was a bad idea, so he goes home. (Homecoming) By the time he's home everything's back to normal, but he thinks about Whatshername a lot. And it's getting to the point where it's out of hand, he's dreaming about her, and he misses her a lot. He just wants her back. At the end when he says 'Forgetting you but not the time' He forgets her, but not the time they spent together. (Whatshername) That's how I see it. If you dont agree then whatever. But comments on this would be greatly appreciated. |
|
| Green Day – Are We the Waiting? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Ok, this is probably one of the most confusing songs on this CD, but if you listen to the lyrics, it's really not that confusing. This song I think is about JOS not knowing who he is anymore, he's on the streets alone, where no one knows who he is, he's not the king of the 7-11 anymore in the song JOS "at the center of the earth in parking lot of the 7-11 where I was taught" like thats where he grew up, he was the king, but now that he's alone, he's not the king anymore, he alost feels that he doesn't have a purpose anymore, he's just there. | |
