| The Who – My Generation Lyrics | 20 years ago |

the only version i've heard of this song is the green day cover but it's pretty damn good. the part that goes 'hope i die before i get old' cracks me up. the meaning's pretty clear. |

| Green Day – Do Da Da Lyrics | 20 years ago |

hehe great song. when i heard it, i though the line "Hand up your soul to my wrist" was "and ofcourse i'll do my best". also thought that "headaches and anxiety" was "and in it's entirety". great song. catchy as hell. |

| Green Day – Stuck with Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
about the title switch: i was wondering what was wrong... i guess i just thought the song was about some girl who billie joe was seeing, who thought he was 'alright' and wanted to leave him, but he didn't want to let her go, hence the title - stuck with me. awesome song. i also didn't like it the first time i heard it, but after reading the lyrics, i love it! |

| Green Day – Jesus of Suburbia Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| ...those people are ignotant. just because green day put out a different type album, doesn't make it better or worse than their other stuff, just different. also, i have listened to dookie, insomniac, nimrod and international superhits, so don't tell me i can't compare. | |

Jimmy has to steal to stay alive when he's on the streets. ***if any one knows what billie is reffering to when he says "to mary jane" in part one of JoS, please tell me*** great lyrics + great singing + great music = great song, 14 great songs = great album xD |

| To everyone who says this ablum is just like most of the other albums out there, that green day are no good now, that this ablum is nothing compared to thier earlyer stuff and that not many people would be able to properly compare the AI album with albums such as insomnaic, dookie, kerplunk, nimrod and warning because we were "too young" when those albums came out... | |

i love this song... very interesting come-back song (eventhough they never really left). it's pretty obvous what this song means. to all those people who say music shouldn't be political, as much as you might hate it, musicians have the right to express thier political views through music. it you don't like it, then don't listen xD |

| Green Day – King for a Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |

this song is uber funny, the trumper at the start contributes to the 'silly' theme of the song...:P also, does "Just wait 'til all the guys get a load of me " mean he was planing so show his friends??? great song... makes me go hyper xP |

| Green Day – Prosthetic Head Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
pros·thet·ic (prŏs-thĕt'ĭk) adj. Serving as or relating to a prosthesis. Of or relating to prosthetics. pros·the·sis (prŏs-thē'sĭs) n., pl. -ses (-sēz). An artificial device used to replace a missing body part, such as a limb, tooth, eye, or heart valve. Replacement of a missing body part with such a device. Linguistics. Prothesis. (meaning) fake/replacement head this makes me think that it is about the fact that most people aren't thinking for them selves. we are told what to think, especially about appearances e.g. "you have to be a size 6 to be beautiful", this causes some people to get plastic surgery, lyposuction and other things, just to make themselves what is considered 'beautiful'. the line "You're a suicide makeover" reffers to the fact that we are not 100% human once we have plasic surgery, also some teen girls are slowly killing themselves, being bulimic or anorexic... wow! that took a long time to get out, and it might not make sence... hmmm... tell me what you think. by the way, great song. go green day for being so outright with thier veiws about body image (not only in this song, but also in fashin victim). |

| Green Day – Walking Alone Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i'm pretty sure it's about him saying something rude, but something which is true. he then feels he's been mean and thinks about appologising... i think the bit that goes "Sometimes I still feel I'm walking alone" mean sometimes he feels he's the only one bold enough to speak the truth... i can relate... great song |

| Green Day – Haushinka Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| ever notice that the end of jinx and the start of Haushinka are the same (like holiday and blvd. of brocken dream on AI)? just a thought :P | |
| Green Day – Jinx Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
strange song... i like it though xD it's possibly about a girl who liked billie but he didn't like her. "You finally met you nemesis disguised as your fatal long lost love" i.e. you think you love me but you don't know me... any other ideas...? |
|
| Green Day – Uptight Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i reckon this song's about some kid who's feelin a little low, but think's it's the end of the world and is too stuborn to take on a different view... | |
| Green Day – Platypus (I Hate You) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
no, it's not just you, it sound like he's saying "coz i hate you" too me aswell... hmm rockin song, everytime i'm pissed off at some one, i sing it in my head xP |
|
| Green Day – Worry Rock Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i agree with the_road. i'm guessing the bit which goes "Yelling at brick walls and punching windows made of stone" means he wants room to express himself coz he's so frustrated with the relationship... hmm... some-one correct me if i'm wrong... awesome song... deep... |
|
| Green Day – All the Time Lyrics | 20 years ago |

uber catchy!!! i guess it IS about wasting your life, but the melody sugests he is enjoying (up-beat and happy). hmmm... Also a great song to listen to verry early in the moring, when you need a bit of a wake-me-up xD luv this bit: "Promises, promises, it was all set in stone Cross my heart and hope to die Sugar fix, dirty tricks and a trick question Guess I should have read between the lines" |

| Green Day – Nice Guys Finish Last Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
great song. the bell thingy in the background in teh bit where it goes "Pressure cooker pick my brain and tell me I'm insane" is (almost) the same rhythm as in the "it's not over untill your underground..." bit of letterbomb on the american idiot album... Also, just to clear things up, this song isn't just about relationships. It's about the fact that PEOPLE (not just guys) 'too nice' usually help others advance through life, even if it means they get slowed down... (did that make sence?) oh well >great song |
