the first time i heard this song, i thought it was about someone who was on the brink of breaking up with their significant other... but now i think it's about the complete opposite situation. it is such a creative analogy: vampires are immortal and with eternal life comes eternal love. it's a very beautiful way of immortalizing and preserving love. i especially love how he sings "eternity... will never be enough for me." so beautiful; everyone has felt that way before. |
