| Jethro Tull – We Used To Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Tull is a truly under appreciated band. Love the soloing on this one. | |

| Wicked song. | |
| Pink Floyd – Yet Another Movie Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I had the version with the 'extreme metal' in th middle. Believe me, there is no mistake. It is some kind of satanic scream metal. Odd how some many people have that version, and it is still propagating. | |
| Lynyrd Skynyrd – Free Bird Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Really great guitar solo. First portion is mediocre at best. I almost feel like it is there simply to provide a kind of black on white contrast, making the solo that much better. In terms of the stairway vs. free bird argument...I'm sorry but free bird doesn't even come close. The only place it is the opposite is probably in the southern US. | |
| Deep Purple – Burn Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| How to summarize.....? Pure ecstasy. | |
| Kansas – Carry on Wayward Son Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The Poster named TenYears_Gone got this one right. This is not actually about Jesus. It is about Icarus. | |
| Pink Floyd – Eclipse Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Those that are viewed as 'crazy', 'strange', 'lunatics' simply because they don't conform are a minority, but have much greater powers to change the world through their thoughts and actions. Just like the moon is much smaller than the sun but how the power to completely blot out its light. | |
| Dream Theater – A Change of Seasons Lyrics | 19 years ago |

There is an interesting line in this. "Seasons change and so can I". In the song "No Time" by The Guess Who, there is a line that says "Seasons change, and so did I". Coincidence? |

| Symphony X – The Odyssey Lyrics | 19 years ago |

"To the one that I love, my journey has begun When our eyes meet once more there will be peace The taste of your lips the warmth of your touch again, forever, two souls as one Seems like forever that my eyes have been denied Home - I'm dreaming of home I've been twenty years away from all I ever knew to return would make my dreams come true Seasons of sorrow have stolen all my years I miss the rolling hills of Ithaca I've been through battles and cried a sea of tears but the tide is changing, and with it all my fears Seems like forever that my eyes have been denied Home - I'm dreaming of home I've been twenty years away from all I ever knew to return would make my dreams come true " Amazing. |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dosed Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think he is comparing his relationship with a girl to his/a drug addiction. Some lines seem very much like a drug addiction. The mountain and canyon reference shows the addiction coming to an end. While using drugs he could be forever warm, consumed by the drug, blocking the rest of the world out. When he no long takes the drugs he can no longer use the drugs as a block from reality. When he is with the girl it gives him a high. Just being with her makes everything alright. Once the relationship has ended reality comes rushing back. So I think both views (relationship with a girl and addiction to drugs) are correct. One is being used as a metaphor for the other. |
