I am also enchanted by that line "I could taste your lipstick on the filter." This song is the perfect companion to the book "Haunted" by Chuck Palahniuk. Same mood, perfect melody, and even the lyrics fit the storyline. For some reason, this song makes me want to make out with some random girl, just like any girl. It's weird. But it doens't turn me on. It just makes me want to make out with someone. Very strange. But awesome song. And Ben Gibbard is awesome too!!! |

I really do love this song, and even though the lyrics are supposed to be a bit sad, this song cheers me up a lot. I also love the iTunes strings version, whcih has an awesome intro. The grumpy dragon is right, I love Bastard, too. There's a sentence I never thought I'd say. Jesusland rocks, too. I also got the sheet music and have been working my ass off to play it right, but my keyboard, as in computer keyboard I'm typing this message with, sucks for playing elaborate songs, and my actual piano is broken. But as soon as I get it fized, I am going to SO play this song right. Ben Folds is AWESOME!!! |

Just because this song has the word Hallelujah in it doesn't automatically mean it has to do with God or CHristians. It's the symbolism of the word hallelujah. Definition: used to express praise, joy, or thanks
See? Why'd you say thanks halfheartedly? Why were you with me at all? |

Sorry to post on something so way back, (I ONLY had time 2 read the first page), but when people say they don't want a band to be on MTV or the radio, it doesn't mean we "dont want other "losers" liking YOUR music". At least, I don't. I think what they mean is that they and I, know many bands that have sold out and become bands that are not so great anymore. And especially, with the Postal Service, who are such an awesome band. They deserve to be recognized and to be heard. I reccomend PS to almost all of my friends. But we've become accustomed to see bands fail when they go mainstream. I really hope this sint' the case with TPS tho!!! I LOVE THE POSTAL SERVICE AND THIS SONG!!!! |

I LOVE THIS SONG. One of the best verses ever written: "But I could not recall, a more perfect fall, cause when I looked up into your eyes it didn't hurt at all." My heart just leaps when I hear those lines. Wow. I LOVE THEM and make sure to check out Ben Gibbard's other bands, especially Death Cab for Cutie! |
