To me seems like this figure their singing about [I’ll call him Bob] is wanting a woman [I’ll call her Gina] that’s already in a relationship, a bad one, where she does not get treated right and is abused emotionally and physically, but she still stays with her boyfriend [I’ll call him Jim] Bob is trying to tell Gina that he’s there for her is she ever needs him because he knows what its like. He’s trying to tell her that Jim is only using her for her looks, not her personality and characteristics. If I gave you pretty enough words. Could you paint a picture of us that works? [Referring to Bob wanting Gina] An emphasis on function rather than design. [Referring to looks over personality] Aren’t you tired cause I will carry you, on a broken back and blown out knees, I have been where you are for a while. [Referring to the support Bob is giving Gina, And explaining he knows what it feels like] Aren't you tired of being weak? Such rage that you could scream.
