Does anyone else have a different version of this song? I have the one from The Anthology and the lyrics are different from the point where it says "So frame this Kodak black" all the way to "And got me stressed out like these frog MC’s", but i can't find the lyrics ANYWHERE. Anyone have any ideas? |

and then click the link that says, "Live in the KCRW studio (real video) Check out thier live performance in the KCRW studio. " theres a really cool video of about 6 songs, including this one. It's really cool, Ben will be singing and then he drops his guitar and runs to the drums and starts playing. Very cool. Ever since I saw it, i have to clap right after he says "the marker snapped " because Ben does this cool clap in the video. Check it out. |

@ deranged one 13. "The Roots aren't like Eminem or Q-Tip, their lyrics tend to actually be poetic and have hidden meanings." I agree with you one the Emninem one, but Q-Tip? C'mon. Perhaps you've forgotten along with De La Soul and the rest of the Native Tounges Crew, Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest practically invented intelligent hip-hop. I also think this song is about the birth of rock and roll. |
