It's undeniably about suicide...or at least it's pretty clear to me...in fact, I think I remember someone saying that one of Phil's girlfriends did commit suicide. Either way, all signs point to it. The lyrics "My concern is now in vain" insinuate that he wishes he could've done more to help her through tough times. Also "You left me incomplete..." hint at a rather sudden, untimely death. |
