henry didn't write this song, it was recorded several times long before he joined the band. the lyrics were written by keith morris (who also used them later in the circle jerks.) considering his drug and alcohol use over the years i don't think he's being anything but literal. |

what in the bleeding 'ell makes this song "misogynistic"? the part where he says "i'd like you better if you were a woman"? check back in semantics 101 and learn a thing or two, this song has absolutely nothing to do with misogyny. |

the narrator is clearly himself the killer. he suffers from a split personality (as dr. jekyll & mr. hyde--see the line \"i was visiting a sick friend / i was a doctor then\"--he was visiting his other personality) and is pulled between benevolent and malevolent intentions. therefore the references to \"paradise lost,\" which tells the age-old story of good versus evil. |
