I had no clue Switchfoot are a Christian band until reading some comments, but they're still awesome. Not being very big on religion, I didn't really pick up on the religiousness but I guess it makes sense. Its such a great song! Its so inspiriational, as I guess songs about God should be.. lol.. I just got that you have to keep trying. "Pick yourself up off the floor." Basically there will be things in your way. "The tension is here The tension is here Between who you are and who you could be Between how it is and how it should be" The problems are there, between these things but I dare you to move and try and break that tension. Great song.self explanitory I guess lol. |

My January Friend. This means something very different to me. I doubt you'll be able to relate but I actually met this guy in January, this year, hence he's my January friend. We are quite close, but we've never actually got together. We both really like each other and know it, but its weird. He talks a hell of a lot of bullshit and I go through phases of really wanting him and thinking I don't at all. "My January friend I'm wantin' you again I wanna touch you Every single heart that beats pretend" The line 'Every single heart that beat's pretend' to me reflects his ability to lie and talk crap lol but I always end up wanting him. Well thats my 2 cents anyways. |

I adore this song! No matter how many times its played I'll never get tired of it. It still gives me goosebumps lol. I love vendela's theory..Its pretty much what I'm going through now lol. I don't really know what its about. But the line "Please don't try so hard to say goodbye", I came up with somehting along the lines of don't try to fight the feeling, you can't. I dont know lol but the song is awesome! |
