everytime i heard the song i thought he said "and i've come to play" however after paying a little more attention i noticed after he says "iv'e got a fife" you hear the high whistle and then after "and a drum to play" you here the drums kick in. |

I have a warehouse cd that was offered to its members and in a speech he makes before he plays the song it kinda explains the song. The message is this. We were all once humble monkeys. However eventualy some of us strayed and became very proud monkeys. In thespeech he refers to polititions as the proudest monkeys. but i beleive he is refering to anyone who is self serving. But in the end we have all come from the same place and we are all family |
