There is so much beauty in this song, expresed through the lyrics and instruments it is almost chilling but there is so much sadness as well. A man left to grieve his girlfriend whether they broke up or she died, he misses her and all the little things they had. Calling her at exactly 7:03, for example. This is a beautiful song. |

In the end, I believe Adam does go through with the suicide becuase he is talking about how great tomorrow will be and how alive he is going to feel... I know from both my brother's suicide and my near suicide experience that when you are in that depressed state of mind, it is very rare to change your mind at the last second and ALL OF A SUDDEN be excited about living on earth... it just isn't realistic. Instead he is talking about the ultimate hapiness, and unconditional love he will recieve in heaven after he dies...and yes people who kill themselves still can go to heaven, as long as they believe in Jesus and what he sacrificed. I know this because I know that my brother is their as we speak... |

I find a lot of hope in this song actually. I see it as a man who is not ashamed of having bad thoughts
"(Don’t be scared of what you might be thinking)"... and he assures everyone who is worried about him by saying "let me find my way". I find this song to be very comforting. |

I think that it is so interesting to see all the different perspectives that people have about this song. But I could see it from all the views that were mentioned. I came to this site to see what this song meant, and I left it with about six different options. I like Fanofuna's but what I don't get would be "I'm leaving you, but you won't be leaving me...", if she were to be on her deathbed, then it would be the reverse order, but I think that it is awesome that you have such a clear picture about this. I also like fallinraindrops perspective as well. This is an awesome song. |

Okay so last year, my brother commited suicide... and whenever I listen to this song on his Ipod, I am reminded of him. It reminds me so much of him, because he always did laugh the loudest, and was the happiest ost cheerful person I ever knew. Oh and for all of you who say that it is a "poser song" or whatev, dosen't know what the fuck they are tlaking about, because this song means something to me, maybe to you it doesn't because you don't see the symbolism in it but DO NOT call it a poor or stupid song. It has helped me a lot to get my brother's perspective. He was a freshman in college and had a good life and almost everything in this song applied to him, so it is truly an awesome song! |
