Reminds me of Penelope in "The Odyssey" she has to run her whole household - and keep hundreds of suitors away. Literally. One of her means for this is by weaving a burial shroud for Laertes, Odysseus's aging father, and telling the suitors she'll marry one of them after she finishes the shroud...which she never does. Maybe this is a too literal interpretation but it's what it reminds me of. |

I definately see this song as a push and pull between two people. They leave each other for one reason or another but always seem to end up back together. "It's crazy how loves stays with me" Both of the people in the song are hurt by being apart. The woman in this song eventually finds someone else during a break with the man. I think that after the man confronts her about this he truely realizes how much he loved her and instead of trying to defend his actions all he can do is apologize to her. |

That we're going there making world collide but still there's huge distance and Bush and all his little bastards are just pointing the finger to so and so and such instead of taking the blame that he fucked up into getting us into some dumbass war. Sorry it really pisses me off how someone sooo stupid has mislead our whole country into a war. So fucking pissed. You know.. I was thinking...and I think I kinda understood it. The first verse is about the newspaper which is a huge media deal. It tells about the huge military headlines and such and all the men being killed in Irag, the women & kids are tearing them out of the newspaper now etc to keep as a memory Second verse is kinda like a soliders POV kinda waiting to die etc, not really knowing what's going to happen becuase everything is crazy in war, and a lot of people are dying everywhere. Also could have something to do with the draft and all the kids wondering when it's going to come down to that. The next two little parts of the lyrics I think is kinda the government/militarys view on it all portrayed in the news (We'll tell you when etc.). They want & need people to fight for them it also says that this war lifestyle this militaristic thing is never ending it's kinda like the government saying "hey we want you guys to go fight our blow ass cause so do it damnit" Umm..the last part is kinda iffy...I'm not quite as sure on this part as I was the first so here goes nothing. Might be kinda a view on the government is kinda like give up your freedom or your going to die etc. Or could be a a line from soilders saying to victems...possible...to Iraqis? Give up your land & oil or we'll blow your head off? Either way...this is definiately a powerful political song...that is definitly anti-war...and hey why not...bush blows...and his little fucked up "war on terror" does too |

| I think that this song is about like you abandond your life before to be with this person and then you get all nervous cause you don't know if it's real. It's like you've never been like this into a person before and it's like you've been numb and then you push them away right after they start to make you feel and then it's like...sad...again... *shrugs* I don't know.
