to me, i see an overbearing relationship. this woman likes to take charge, tell him what's what and maybe even put him down "she feels that my sentimental side should be held with kids gloves". he is far more subdued than she but all the time he thinks his own strong thoughts in his head "she doesnt know that i left my urge in the icebox". this is new to both of them, and there are strains and stresses on them that cause friction. but all they really want is to be together, to love eachother. feel free do disagree, its just what i see. |

this song slays me. paul banks is a genius. these lyrics are beautiful and simple: "start again buttercup" , "i found you a doctor in me". its just what you want to hear when you feel that way. the way he seems to call out in this song to whoever has turned things sour just highlights how easy it is to feel betrayed and still be in love and want nothing more for things to be right again. |
