actually, im only 14 years old, and the wieght has been one of my favorite songs.i first heard it on the movie easy rider which my mom bought me when i was a lot younger. im looking into the band because i really like their lyrics.n e way, i just wanted to agree, most people only recognise the song from that car commercial. |

for one thing, jimi died from taking nine sleeping pills and drinking alcohol along with it. purple haze (the weed) was named after jimi made the song. he did do hard drugs, but not that often.he was more partial to marijuana. also, jimi himself did quote that the song was influenced by a dream of being under the sea, not doing drugs.the song itself is not influenced by drugs.also, i am kind of curious, when interpreting the lyrics, no one notices the phrase (that girl put a spell on me).what does that have to do with a dream.n e one know? |
