Wow. What an extremely good cover. Too bad nothing can compare to the original done by the coolest man to ever live, David Bowie. |

Ok time to break it down. [I want you to remember A love so full it could send us all ways] ~He wants her to remember the good things that they had done and been through. [I want you to surrender] ~He wants her back, perhaps sexually more than anything else. [All my feelings rose today And I want you to remain] ~Again, his feelings rose up and told him that he wanted her back.. perhaps the chemicals told him that needed her, or was missing her. [The power of children can amaze] ~The problems that this song describes might be attributed to the ignorance of children and the silly decisions they tend to make, especially in relationships. [I'll try not to complain I know that's a pisser baby] ~Probably being sarcastic, almost snappy, about how 'she' might have not liked how he complained about the things that were going wrong, or just his communication in general. [The chemicals between us The walls that lie between us] ~Linking the chemicals (feelings and emotions of wanting to be with this person) to the wall of seperation between them. [Lying in this bed The chemicals displaced] ~Maybe the sex was a cause for the ending of their love (the chemicals). [There is no lonelier state Than lying in this bed] ~Either he is lying alone and feeling lonely since he is used to being in his bed with her, or stating how when they were together in his bed (gettin it on ;) ) there was no real connection and he felt lonely. [We're of the hollow men] ~He follows up his reference to his bed (and sex) by calling himself hollow. pretty self explanitory. [We never meant you harm Never meant you wrong I'd like to thank All of my lovers, lovers, lovers] ~Apologizing to anyone that he has made feel like his last lover made him feel. Well anyway thats my take on it. He regrets the communication and connection problems he had with past girlfriend, but fears he has been responsible in hurting others in the same way and apologizes for it. P.S.: I understood saxifrage's comment, and im a lowly 16 year old. Dont yell at him becuase you dont have a broad grasp of the english language. |

altho i believe this is about violence and murder/death at an early age, i think 9-10yrs is pushing it. ALOT. drugs or drug wars also seem to be a part of it: "Take another hit And bury your brother" Seems to be that no matter how many people die, or how close they are to you, it seems worth it for that hit. |

| this song fits perfectly with my current predicament. to me its about a girl who this person cares for deeply, but she has been hurt in the past or has hurt others and is afraid to open up and love again for fear of someone getting hurt. :\ | |

| to me its just about finding someone you truly care about and love and how it feels to just spend time with this person. when this person (body) holds you all your pain turns to illusion and you feel eternal. just my 2 cents. :) | |
