This song is about finding Jesus within yourself, through the Holy Spirit. It is like a personal communication line to God. There are so many misconceptions about the Holy Spirit that I didn't know exactly what it was until He came to me. The Holy Spirit is the soft, still voice of God within you, and it's a very real thing. And I warn anyone who is doubtful of the works of the Holy Spirit...if you think what I'm saying isn't true, be very careful about how you react to someone witnessing for the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin, and shouldn't be taken lightly. God bless you all :) |

Another DM song about faithfulness to God versus faithfulness to humans. Those who control our world have different sets of values than what God sets forth for us. It's about only fearing and apologizing to God, because He's the only one we will answer to that really matters. And it's a good example of spitting in the face of your enemy by not giving him what he wants, which in this case is repentance for commiting a "crime of man". Why repent for something those who despise God call a crime, when you know that what you did wasn't a crime to God? |

This song is beautiful in so many different ways. It's a song of encouragement and love for us, it's a message that God himself has delivered to us, in his Word, and now through Depeche Mode. The message is that God loves you so much, and that for you to completely have faith in Him, to have faith that no matter what you may suffer, your faith will be rewarded with things you couldn't even imagine. I myself was blind and lost until recently, and I wish that everyone could see the beauty that I saw. If you answer His still, soft voice within you, you WILL see what I saw. I know this might not make sense to many of you, but the words I speak are the truth, and this song has moved me to plant a seed here, hoping that it will fall on fertile ground and change someone's life.
