This is one of the sweetest songs ever, in my opinion. He's saying in a jaded way that he will always be there for this person. He actually hopes that their relationship will be put to the test and that they will both deteriorate together. I am drowning. There is no sign of land. You are coming down with me, hand in unlovable hand. And I hope you die, I hope we both die. Beautiful. |

The title probably comes from the story in the bible where Jesus casts the demons out of a man, and into some nearby pigs, who in turn run off a cliff, falling to their death in the river below. The title in mind, this song could be sort of a challenge to either God or the demons that haunt this person (or both, if you read a lot of william blake). It's also a shout-out to Chino, which is a pretty harsh city, but growing up in cities like Chino (or nearby Garden Grove) make you a much stronger person if you rise above all the bullshit, hence his sense of entitlement over God himself. |
