| "fake" people as in people who make up their own ideas, that apply ethical relativism to every situation. these people would be classified as definetly wanting acceptance, but not finding it they make up their own belief system and attack others for believing otherwise. a good example of this could be politics. i was attacked personally for a view and for voting a certain way, the opponent continually refered to a hope that couldnt hold truth, if she "could swallow all your pride you would choke on every word you hide behind". if she really thought about what she was saying and might have approached more humbly then she wouldnt have choked the next time she saw me after the ellection and saw who was right... | |

yeah that would be part of it. in life you see the rising and falling of...life, talking about motives shot only can imply a failure of reasoning. no one likes to believe something and have it get shot out of the sky with truth. thats why the want for tolerance runs so rampant in america, people just want others to accept their ideas and beliefs without having to accept others. this song probably refers to a relationship or a "letting go of a dear friend" probably not a girl because that would make this song emo....not good. but im not completely shutting that idea out. |

i envy dawnofreckoning for having been to thier show, i have been listening to them and looking for shows forever and just found out they broke up. im angry. this song is pretty deep and to say its a typical backstabbing friend does it some injustice. the term born for battle implies something bigger than fighting friends. beloved is a christian band so the battle in this sense is not against bad friends but non christian friends who bring up an argument that coulndt hold water: thus "you will fight this battle but we'll take you out so quickly that you and your so-called army cant see us coming." recently i was asked how the battle was going, and i said what battle? they replied the battle of life. yes it is the battle of life we were born for, whether we surrender and go with the world or fight on the side(we already know is going to win) is a choice we all must make. |
