| Gin Blossoms – Hey Jealousy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love this song, and i agree with everyones comments about the 90's, i think i was born 10 years too late, given that i was only 4 or something when this song came out, I had no idea it was about alcoholism, but it makes sence. 90's rock was the best and i don't think anything this decade remotely compares to anything writtne in the 90's (except maybe the foo fighters, but given that they were around in the 90's it doesn't really count) | |
| The Verve – The Drugs Don't Work Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I've just rediscovered this song, i think i've always known it, but one of my friends told me to look it up so i did, and love it, does anyone else think it has a similar sort of sound as no aphrodisiac by the whitlems, or is that just me? | |
| The Superjesus – Over and Out Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| before i brought this album, i had only heard it twice, once on the radio and once as the background music on sports tonight, but i loved it soo much, especially the chourus | |
| Silverchair – Black Tangled Heart Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i really love the first verse, i don't know, but i think it might be about being suicidal after going through a break up. especillay withthe line "maybe i'm just deranged and on the rebound" | |
| Sister Hazel – All For You Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Killing Heidi – Weir? Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Darren Hayes – Insatiable Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i loved savage garden, and went i first heard this song, i though, ok, i can live with this, it's not as good as savage garden, but it's not to bad, although it's a shame that the rest of the songs on spin weren't as good | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – Slide Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
wow, i never even thought of the abortion thing before, anyway, this is how i interpreted it, this girl is meant to marry the 1st guy, but loves the second guy more, and has cheated on the first guy with the him , and it's the story of the second guy trying to convince her to leave the first guy, and standing him up at the alter, and everything that follows Could you whisper in my ear The things you wanna feel I'd give ya anythin' To feel it comin' (the second guy is asking her to make her happy, because even though he loves her more than the first guy, he doesn't know her aswell) Do you wake up on your own? And wonder where you are You live with all your faults ( i think this is talking about after the girl and the second guy have slept togather, while she was engaged to the first guy, and she's woken up on her own and it takes a second for her to register what has happened, but once she does she feels guilty) I wanna wake up where you are I won't say anything at all So why don't you slide ( this is where he's talking about how he wishes he could wake up with her, instead of sneaking around) Yeah I'm gonna let it slide Don't you love the life you killed The priest is on the phone Your father hit the wall Your ma disowned you ( i think the reference to "the life you killed" is about the life she might have had if she went through with the wedding, he's asking her if she has any regrets, the preist is on the phone because she didn't show up to the wedding, and her parents are angry, ecause 1) the first guy might have been a family friend 2) the may have known about the second guy, dissaproved of him, and then realised what had happened) Don't supposed I'll ever know What it means to be a man Somethin' I can't change I'll live around it ( i think thing is where he's acknowledging her parents opinion of him, saying that he is fair from perfect, but he can't change that, and he can live around it now, because she accepts im for who he is) And I'll do anythin' you ever dreamed to be complete Little pieces of the nothin' that fall (this is where he is saying that he'd do anything for her) Oh May Put your arms around me What you feel is what you are And what you are is beautiful ( he's telling her not to feel guilty, that she should be happy, or feel beautiful, because that's what she is on the out side) Oh May Do you wanna get married, or run away? ( this is pretty self explanatory, he's asking her if she wanted to go through with the wedding, or run away with him) i know that's differant to what alot of other people think, but that's just my own personal interpretation, although i love reading about what every one else thinks, i think that's about it, i love this song |

| I've never heard this song, but i absolutly love Savage Garden, and i love the lyrics, i'd love to find it | |
| Savage Garden – A Thousand Words Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I think this song, like break me shake me, is about being manipulated, he's broken up with her, and looking back, he can see that she was just manipulating him for the duration of the relationship | |
| Placebo – This Picture Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i never really got what this song meant, but everyones comments have helped a bit. when i first heard it, i thought the line went " with cigarette burns on HER chest, and thought that she might have been in an abusive relationship and killed herself, although i realised it wasn't that after i figured out what the line actually said | |
| Savage Garden – Gunning Down Romance Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| this is probably one of savage gardens darkest songs, it's so emotional, like all their songs, and i'm pretty sure it is about Darren breaking up with his wife. the first few times i heard it i never really appreciated it fully, but over the past few years, it's meant more and more to me, i supose, now that i'm older i can relate to it more, well, that's my two cents anyway | |
| Savage Garden – To The Moon And Back Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I always thought this song was about a girl who had grown up and moved out of home, but, because she never had much love or support as a child, she's grown up not knowing how to love, (love is like a barren place, reaching out for human faith is like a journey i just don't have a map for) even though she wants to, its really very sad, like alot of savage garden songs, one of my favourites, savage garden rock | |
| Savage Garden – You Can Still Be Free Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i love this song, it's so sad, but it's so deep, i can't help feeling sad when i listen to it. savage garden are awesome | |
| Savage Garden – Truly Madly Deeply Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This is my absolute favourite song in the whole world and i don't care what anyone else says. it became my favourite song the first time i heard it (i would have been 9 at the time) it is sickly sweet, but Meh, thats what its about, its someone telling some one else how much he loves her, with out caring how cheesy he sounds. in my opinion, savage garden was- and still is the best band in the world, it's just a shame they broke up | |
| Jimmy Eat World – The Middle Lyrics | 21 years ago |
