This is my fav track. I think it's about being close to someone and then losing them and "funny how i find myself inside a paper cup" where you end up. He's been waiting for her to come back. And after a while loses all hope. he's upset with himself because he couldn't show her the real him. |

I agree with most of you. I think it's about him finally realizing what's around him. That you're so close to something to love it, yet it seems so far away that it's alien to you. And there are the swinging moods. When he comes around he wonders of the alien he has made of himself to everyone else, " am i still that man who makes you who you want to be." |

Well I'm there. "Sitting, waiting, wishing". It's about giving up all you have for one person, then " learning loving somebody don't make them love you." And then in the end giving up on all that. But I like how the song has a positive feel to it. Like it's not so bad. |

It appears to me that this song is about a lot of relationships. And about finding that on girl that'll make you happy. "Dressing coffins of the souls i've left behind" indicates that the girl makes sense of all the lost relationships of the past. "you're the one that I adore, you'll always be my whore" that just means that you're everything i want. |

I think he's talking to himself the whole time. He tells himself that he can become his "perfect enemy". Being a politically charged album, he's telling himself that if you just sit and wait for it all to play out and not do anything then "maybe you're better off this way", not liking the way the world works. Not doing anything about it.
