| The Libertines – Mayday Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Yeah definitely the Mayday riots, not just because of the song title, but because of the chorus: " the mob goes fifteen ways i dunno which way to go the mob goes fifteen ways and my head ( my poor head) feels like a smashed window" Sounds like he's describing being in the middle of a riot, a huge mob of people (the mob) and the "Fifteen ways" being how everyone is running around in different directions. Ace song, short but sweet. |

| Supergrass – Caught By The Fuzz Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I doubt its heroin but who knows, I always assumed it was either weed or crack. | |
| Bloc Party – So Here We Are Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| But it's not, its clearly about taking E. | |
| The Libertines – Music When The Lights Go Out Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It's not about the end of Pete and Carl's relationship because this song was originally recorded in 2001 on their demos, long before their fallouts, however, it could indeed be applied to them but it's not likely. | |
| The Libertines – The Delaney Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| All I know is Wolfman helped Pete write this song...I have barely any idea what its about, bit a social commentary in there. | |
| The Libertines – Time For Heroes Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"there are fewer more distressing sights than that of an englishman in a baseball cap yeah we'll die in the class we were born that's a class of our own my love we're in a class of our own my love" That bits about chavs, how upper/middle class kids act like the lower classes yet he's saying that no matter how you try to hide your identity, you'll die in the class you were born, if you're middle class you'll always be middle class. The ironic thing is, Pete is from a middle class, somewhat wealthy family yet he acts like one of these working class "from the streets" type people. |

| Yes I heard that too, it would make perfect sense if it was bout the QON...it's definitely about tits rather than beer. | |
| The Jesus and Mary Chain – Reverence Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I think this song is just about wanting to go out with a bang and be remembered like JFK and Jesus, as in wanting to have a glorious death everyone remembers, which in turn immortalises you. That's how I see it anyway. I recall this song was banned across the USA because it was deemed offensive. Bah! |

| The Jesus and Mary Chain – Head On Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Nah it was brilliant before the Pixies touched it, even though their cover is good. This song is indeed about being on drugs, my guess would be something like E or coke, especially because of the lines "And the way I feel tonight I could die and I wouldn't mind" |

It is indeed about heroin, and they loved the VU, they ripped em off a good few times. This is one of the best JAMC songs though. |

| Art Brut – Formed A Band Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Indeed they did. I saw them live in Camden last night, they are the best. | |
| Supergrass – Caught By The Fuzz Lyrics | 20 years ago |

If anyone doesn't understand this song, top yourself, its rather obvious. The song's about being caught with weed when you're 15...ah memories. Most Supergrass songs are about teenage years and having fun, this one is no exception. |

| Bloc Party – So Here We Are Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| God why does everyone automatically assume if something mentions a relationship then its about the love of two people? As said this song is indeed about estacy, the band stated it themselves. | |
| Counting Crows – Monkey Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I remember Adam saying that this song is about AIDS, it does kinda make sense it being about AIDS. | |
