i feel like this is about someone that has issues and has a hard time getting close to people. or once they do get close they freak out and sabatoge it and ruin it because of fear that the OTHER person will hurt them so they do it to avoid a bigger pain... does that make sense?

I saw it as a relationship that has been broken and now they are getting back together. they've shared a bed before... they think they're happy/ think it was what they wanted but it just doesn't feel the same anymore "stayed away too long this time" . i guess in a sense i'm with mingoesbueno on their interpretation of it... they're just going back to bed together. whether they're having sex or just going to sleep i don't know but the bed just doesn't seem to fit them both anymore.

this song is incredible. i love it. it makes me scream and dance and...cry... i'm not sure what it is supposed to be exactly but i get a hopeless vibe from it and ...this person is trying to be crazy and have fun but maybe it just isn't the same as it used to be? like..all of a sudden you're a grown up and it's just ...awkward. so even if you tried to party hard it wouldn't feel good anymore? and at the end it just seems like..that's the way it goes and there's not much else you can do about it. everything happens for a reason. like...i went to a crazy blowout party and got shit faced and instead of having fun and feeling "young" ...i felt stupid lol.

i agree with donna the dinasaur, it really is encouraging. to me, the song says even though you live in this chaotic hell hole just...follow your heart, don't take yourself too seriously, and ALWAYS have play time. there comes a time where you really just have to accept how messed up this world is and let it go...

yay to PLANES for adding this song for us, it's a treasure, i only have one MF ep so far, this (along with the rest on the ep) is a special one. I personally know the feeling of some of the songs lyrics. being afraid to spend another night alone, scared of the thoughts & feelings you might have... However i don't get the whole "To us it is an art" and "out in front of your dorm a crowd will form.." ugh my brain is not functioning right i'd need a little help on this one.

I definitely got that feeling as if i was listening to a Morrissey song, if you've seen the video and any Smiths/Morrissey videos you might even see that his... "presence" (sp?) is similar to that of Moz as well... all he needed was the gladiolas in his back pocket..
