This song is obviously about the psychoanalytic theory of lack and desire. The lack ( the hollow) is necessary to people for them to have desire. This hollow makes you go forward because you always think you will fill it. But you cannot because this hollow is a very primitive experience that cannot be reached anymore. Desire turns around this hollow with the force of the libido but can never reach it....if you think you reached this hollow, there is no more libido and you fall into depression....This song is about this run to reach and fill this hollow by any mean ( sex, drugs, etc...) |

Hum...I don't agree with the lyrics.... I think it's "plain talking" instead of " blind talking" and "Higher now am I" instead of "Aiah Nouwamba" !!! In the video, some of the lyrics appear on the wall behind moby.... |
