Well, technically, this song is not James Marsters. He sings it, yes, but as Spike for the Buffy episode "Once More, With Feeling". I much prefer the songs James writes himself and for Ghost of the Robot.
This song is about a vampire, namely Spike, who is in love with a vampire slayer, Buffy. He has told her that he loved her and he continues to let her know that he is in love with her and will do anything for her, but she turns him down and pretends she's disgusted because she's afraid of what everyone would think of her and what she would think of herself. So, he wants her to stop toying with him and either admit she's all hot and bothered for him or get the hell out. |

Personally, this song bores me. James sounds beautiful when he sings it, but I think that it's just another one of his mumbling, stream of consciousness type song about how much he loves this girl and how much she doesn't love him back. |

I think this is one of GotR's bests songs. I personally like the songs written by Charlie better. They seem to have more imagination and humor in them the James' songs. This is definitely a love song with some humorous WWII references. |

I don't think this song is lennon-esq. Lennon never really sang songs like that. I think it's more of a McCartney-esq song. His songs were very folk/country influenced, and he usually sang songs based in innocence and happiness. There were so many McCartney songs that featured him, a guitar and a foot tapping. |
