How can you say that Pantera stolen the idea from Metallica? First of all the point of view is completely different in this song. He is talking about a friend. In One James is singing in the first point of view that he is the one lying there and can't do anything. Secondly I think that when Phil wrote this song he had a real event that happened in his mind rather then "oh yeah man lets copy Metallica." This song is way different from anyhow. The music sounds nothing the same and the lyrics are alot different. Just because they are on the same kind of subject material doesn't mean its the same. How many songs do we have about sex? Because they get such a rise out of you and it is slightly amusing. You called me a shithead when I never said anything remotely negative about you other then teasing you about ur love for Quiffporn. That was a joke anyways. Get a sense of humor quit taking everything people say so seriously. Its just words on a screen. They don't attack you cuz u like death metal. You started the whole arguments by attacking Quiffporn for disliking what you like. Now its turned into a ping pong game back and forth with insults. This song is a Sly Fox cover only ICP changed all the lyrics cept for the chorus part.. the original song is completely different and is simply about sex this is not that simple. I love the way ICP do this song. 80s remakes are usually crap but this is an exception to the rule. I beleive this version of the song is talking about the ultimate state of bliss achieved by a sort of nirvana or heaven. |

First I would like to say Im a huge New Order fan, ive been into them since the early eighties. Now with that said .. I love this cover. Orgy did an excellent job. New Order is one of several bands I believe should never be covered. Cuz nothing is better then the original. But Orgy really pulls it off by not making it too radically different from the original. Jay's vocals are awesome. I really bet Bernard is proud of this one cuz few eighties covers are as good this one. As far as the song meaning goes its about how Bernard Sumner felt after Ian Curtis' suicide about how was he supposed to feel, what was he and the rest of the band to do now? |

Old Metallica did start a reveloution just like ur precious Beatles and Nirvana .. its called Heavy Metal... and Tool does not suck they are nothing short of genius.. they have the most creative music and intelligent lyrics of this generation. I believe Tool will be one of those "classic" bands in the future. To say that Metallica will not be remembered LOL well ur just retarted cuz look who long they have lasted. I don't even like the new album as many others don't either, but just cuz they got a lousy album don't mean they aint gonna come back and ur kick ur ass about 5 years into the future.. remember they are Metallica and mabey this is just an experimental period they need to get off their chests before reclaming metal glory. As for Limp Bizkit they did not suck when Wes was in the band. And I don't care what anyone says Korn and Limp DO NOT sound anything alike. Fred raps, how often do u hear Jon rap? Not very much. So when people put these 2 bands in the same catagory I tend to get upset. Limp Bizkit HAD their own style and Korn still has theirs.. its NOT their fault that all those bands tried to copy them.. and as a result Korn and Limp both lost their appeal because of those other bands copying them. People got sick of the same sound over and over again and its a shame cuz both Limp and Korn did have REAL talent that none of the MTV ready crap have today. Ok so I don't like emo but i won't say it don't take talent cuz it does. Just cuz I don't like something don't mean that I will deny someone their talent. ANYONE who can write their own music HAS talent. Anyone who can sing a song and NOT depend on their backup vocals to hold them up *cough* Britnany Spears *cough* has talent. I hate Christina Aguleria but can u really deny that girl can sing. Mabey not the kinda music u like ( i certainly don't) but has a voice that won't quit. Right up there with the ranks of Whitney and Mariah (again not my type of music) but to deny they have talent is absurd. |

ok now i've actually listened to this song.. and OMG just ACK!!! They completely butcher the song. His vocals are something worse then listening to a cat cough up a hairball. Im sorry HIM fans but some things should be left alone if they can't do a better job then that. Manson's cover of Personal Jesus surpasses this garbage by a long shot. At least he put some effort into it. This was more of a mockery then a tribute. By far the worst DM cover i've ever heard, and ive heard some really bad ones. I like Rammstein's version of Stripped. But no disrespect to HIM fans u like what u like but im entitled to my opinion also, and this song makes my whole body cringe. |

I agree about the male voice he just doesn't have enough power behind it,but still an awesome band none the less. I could also see Don Dokken doing a duet with her LOL. I dunno nothing about death metal other then those stupid satanic people like Deicide or Morbid Angel. Personally I think they are sick and demented, but people love em and thats cool for them. Im a huge DM fan and this version of Stripped makes me laugh. His voice is hillarious. This also shows how much Germans worship DM. I just wonder why they don't say the original line "let me see you stripped down to the bone" but yes a nice cover. Rammstein has that gritty German voice I like. but when he sings anything in english its just comical in my book. The song intereptation Martin Gore wrote this.. it means baring ur soul completely without any boundries or influences of the outside word. Too many times people are distracted by something else when spoken to by their significant other .. I know this very well LOL my husband can't pry his eyes of the tv when i ask him something.. it gets irritating. So to get me to shut up so he can get back to his precious tv he gives me a very oblivious answer. That is what this song is about.. pulling away from all that and being alone with no television no radio just the voices of him and her. |
