Phish – The Divided Sky Lyrics 18 years ago
The second part of the Jam (after the cymbals, you know what I'm talking about) I always get stuck in my head, specifically Trey's solo.

I heard an acoustic cover of this, by I think it was Papa Grows Funk at Tipitinas about a year ago ~ it was awesome.

Is this Phish's only drinking song? If you don't know the meaning then you're an idiot.

Phish – Heavy Things Lyrics 20 years ago
I like it, has the same attributes as Sparkle, sad lyrics to an upbeat tempo, with some good lines:
"Stumbling as I fall from grace.
She needs my vision to replace.
Prevailing sight throughout the night.
Leaving two holes in my face."

Phish – NICU Lyrics 20 years ago
It's double meanings like everything. Really early versions, they titled the song Intensive Care Unit, however they subsequently addedd lyrics like:
"And if you do
And I see you" (ala N' I C U)

Phish – Walls of the Cave Lyrics 20 years ago
Tom Marshall said in an interview he conciously wrote this song to his son, as if it was in the future and he had died, and he was sending him this message. He noticed, because of the similarities pointed out, that he may have sub-conciously written about the 9-11 attacks in the song. This was written shortly after 9-11-01 with some of the lyrics:
"And when it fell
you caught my heart
before it hit the ground
but if you ever need the names
of those you couldn't save
you'll find them on the walls of the cave"

"look away
the time goes past
these rocks will fall
away at last
look away"

along with the initials of the title Walls (of) The Cave - WTC
