Rob Zombie – Foxy Foxy Lyrics 20 years ago
ahem:
"It was a weird kind of phrase, like, that I remembered as something as a kid. You know, my parents, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, the whole family, were involved in carnival business and, like, circus business, so as a kid, we would get dragged to these things, and we'd have to spend all this time there. And that was just one of the attractions I remember, what they would call the trained animals, you know, educated horses." -Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie – Foxy Foxy Lyrics 20 years ago
This song makes me think of Gulliver's Travels because I think Gulliver's third stop is a place with talking, educated horses. I'm pretty sure this song isn't about that though. It has to be about something though.

The Postal Service – Nothing Better Lyrics 20 years ago
I think sometimes hockey players (i've done it) get confused and call the periods quarters. I just like the detailed description of this simile, wheter it is correct or not.
Also, I don't hear a lot of songs with people singing back and forth to each other, and I love it; it is romantic.

Ludo – Good Will Hunting by Myself Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is about being yourself, being happy, and getting away from anyone trying to stop you! Ludo sings this song (and all of their other songs) with such great energy, and it is such a happy time. These guys just love to have fun, but this song still has a good message.

I love this song too. mostly "I'm not a man to throw words to the wind- when I said I loved you, thats what I meant"
I got this cd when it came out and am now finally obsessed with it. Weird.

System of a Down – Forest Lyrics 21 years ago
I think all of these interpretations are awesome and really thought-provoking.
This song always made me think of (as someone else mentioned!) The Scarlet Letter. Its really an awesome book, and basically "Why can't you see that you are my child?" is what makes me think of it. I don't wanna spoil the book, cause its actually pretty awesome for something so old. It has tons of symbolism..
Of course, after reading the lyrics and the other ideas, i doubt he wrote this song with The Scarlet Letter in mind..

Splender – Monotone Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is awesome. Its just so badass. As far as meaning, I think he's exploding at someone and then getting mad for his lack of self control. Then he admits he still likes her or whatever and that they're just weird. Thats my stab.

Bush – 40 Miles From The Sun Lyrics 21 years ago
At one time or another this was my favorite Bush song and Bush was my favorite band. I always thought it was an end of the world type song but now I see how he does say all the pleasures just begun. A just always figured that was sarcastic.
