The liner notes: Electric black nite crash, hunger on your face Opium heat rash, suffocate this place Well I see the sun burning in your eye I see the sun call a suicide (ome on) 17 year locust If not now, when? (x4) Tombstone eyes roam up and down your skin Assassinate the mindframe nothing left to win I see the sun burning in your eye I see the sun call a suicide (come on) 17 year locust If not now, when? (x4) Enchanted on the highway, all the freaks collide One minute longer - you start the slide Well, I ain't the one burning in your eye I ain't the one call a suicide (come on) 17 year locust If not now, when? | Rob Zombie – American Witch Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Body of a monkey and the feet of the cock Dragged from her home on the killing rock The lacked all died on the weather vane The devil's in a cat in the babies brain Yeah Yeah Of the American (4x) Witch Yeah Alone on the hill and ready to die The kids of the darkness so black and high Mark of the wolf and the sun and the cat The Angels beat down above the rack We all pray for 20 innocents We all bow down 20 innocents We all hang high 20 innocents We all accuse 20 innocents Yeah Yeah Of the American (4x) Witch Do you want to know where the genes come from Some showed faith and some showed none (2x) We all pray for 20 innocents We all bow down 20 innocents We all hang high 20 innocents We all accuse 20 innocents Yeah Yeah Of the American (4x) Do you want to know where the genes come from Some showed their faith and some showed none Do you want to know where the genes come from Yeah Yeah Of the american Witch This one I'm even less sure of than 17 Year Locust, but I've made those corrections. It's clearly about the Salem witch trials. |

Electric clad night crash, hunger on your face Opium heat rash suffocate this place Well I see the sun burnin' in your eye I see the sun call us to die Come on 17 year locust We don't know when (4x) Yeah Tombstone eyes rome up and donw your skin Assassinate the mindframe, nothin' left to win Well I see the sun burnin' in your eye I see the sun call us to die Come on 17 year locust We don't know when (4x) Yeah Speedin' on the highway, all the freaks collide One minute longer, you start to slide Well I ain't the one burnin' in your eye I ain't the one call us to die. Come on 17 year locust We don't know when (4x) That's what I got. I'm not too sure about 'speedin' there in the third verse, but I can't figure out what else would be there. |

| Rob Zombie – How To Make A Monster Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Well, honestly, reading anything into most of Rob's songs is fruitless. He's said himself he tries to NOT put any meaning into most of his songs, but sometimes it just happens. I find it a fun past time to try to find a deeper meaning, because I'm weird like that. |

| White Zombie – Black Sunshine Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Plus, Iggy Pop. Maybe it's about sex with Iggy Pop while he's high, and how it feels like you've been HIT by a 400 horsepower Mustang afterward, 'cuz all his crazy drug sperm is up in you. No? Fine. | |
| White Zombie – Blood, Milk And Sky Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Damn, now there's a person does their research. I love this song and always wondered what it was about. (I too made a love interpretation *hangs head*) Thanks for enlightening me! |

| White Zombie – Feed The Gods Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I second that. I love the way they say the line "Do you know what it means to feel like God?" | |
| White Zombie – Real Solution #9 Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| *nods* The song's about Charles Manson. Rob has attested to this himself. "Real Solution #9" refers to suicide, I believe. Could be wrong, though. | |
| White Zombie – Thunder Kiss '65 Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I would reckon it's about Rob, because yes, he was born in January of 1965. Most of the song seems just thrown together, but the line "what's new pussycat, can you dig the satisfaction" is the meshing of a song title and an old saying; "What's New Pussycat?" and "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back". | |
| Rob Zombie – Two-Lane Blacktop Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Sounds like a good assumption, ApollyonCrash. Thanks for shedding some insight. | |
| Rob Zombie – The Great American Nightmare Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Close; Howard Stern. | |
| Rob Zombie – The Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Whore Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Oooo, good eye, murasaki vchan21. Rob is a well-known fan of the Crow movies which have a similar theme of wrongful death and vengence from beyond the grave. | |
| Rob Zombie – Spookshow Baby Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I was gonna say something about sex with hot goth girls at rock shows, but now that I look at the line "Bright glove, mad love", the song is clearly about Micheal Jackson. | |
| Rob Zombie – Return Of The Phantom Stranger Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Could be that last one (Rob doesn't strike me as a Dungeons and Dragon kinda guy, cool as that idea is), though looking at it he could be writing about himself. "Shapeshifting high and a haunted eye" if you've ever seen Rob's artwork, both of those lines apply to it, usually strangely metaporphosed demons and other haunting figures. The second verse speaks of sinister sounds sweeping the grounds (which Rob does indeed make) though he's not really famous. A lot of people know his name, but he doesn't get mobbed like Ozzy or KoRn, so he kind of lies beneath his own fame. He throws away everything that made him famous, but still his fans stay. This is kinda repeated in the third verse, where he destroyed the things we love (White Zombie and their musical style), but sure of his fans loyalty ad his own skill that he won't need to cling to his old glory, or "see if I remember". | |
| Rob Zombie – Mengham Kountee Kounsill Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| 'Cuz it's not a Rob Zombie song. | |
| Rob Zombie – Iron Head Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
That's a prety good observation, Dajango. It's actually changed my perceptions on the song. Here's my take; The first verse does indeed convey that decadence and the rebellious tendencies of metal heads. The second one suggests that the metalheads are actually becoming commonplace and punishing those that used to hold them down. The third and fourth verse re-instill the theme of rebellion and revolution. I like the chorus myself. "iron head- regenerate iron head-exterminate iron head-liberate and crucify you" It re-iterates most of the points before, but more clearly; the metal heads can't be cut down, they'll always come back up, try though you might to exterminate them. They will liberate themselves, and crucify you for opressing them. |

| Rob Zombie – How To Make A Monster Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| It's about rape. A sexy young jailbait girl in the park gets taken down by a "wolf" (ie; a predator). "Time will tell if your baby is insane" reflects that a lot of people believe children born of rape are doomed to a life of misery and insanity. "A child bride with bloody eyes" refers to the "virgin" Mary, mother of Jesus. It's said that statues of the Virgin Mary weep tears of blood when a horrible child is born, hence the Satan on the brain. Garbage in, garbage out, essentially, though on a much more dramatic scale. | |
| Rob Zombie – Feel So Numb Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
First of all, one of those lyrics is wrong. It's... "Django drag a coffin nail across your back" ... not that Jingle Jangle nonsense. Secondly, I think this is one of those songs Rob just threw things together on. He does that on most of his songs; makes an effort to not put any meaning into them, but sometimes ends up giving songs meanings he never intended to. Then again, sometimes they have meaning because he wanted them to. |
|
| Rob Zombie – Demonoid Phenomenon Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| It's a song about necrophilia (having sex with dead people), or killing a person halfway through sex. Enough lines point to death/dead bodies and sex. | |
