| Alright, well I can relate to this song soundly so I'll use that to my advantage...sorry if its in the least bit repetitive, i haven't read all of the other comments. The song is about someone who is so deep in love/infatuation, but perhaps doesn't feel like the other person is as well. This sort of gnaws at them, because it becomes a constant thought that continously worsens. They end up isolating themselves and do nothing but think these thoughts. Its almost like you develop youre own little world when this happens, because you don't realize how far your reach from friends and confidants become. You stray so far, that you can no longer gather the strength to confide in anyone, even the best of friends or lovers. Also, once you start being pessimistic about the ones you love, loving you in return, it takes a swift kick to your selfesteem. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I know I started to believe that I was annoying everyone when i'd say one word about what was really going on. I didn't think anyone wanted to hear it; thats when the self-harm begins. I know this all too well it seems haha anyway.. It becomes as if youre already dead, just very nostalgic if you will (I can't stop the insects that are feeding). Its pretty much a big drain that once you come near, you'll never return from. dedication to the max. Good luck to anyone with a problem similar to the one in the song, we'll need it. | |

Alright here's my two cents. I've always loved Green Day but after hearing this song, I stopped saving up to get American Idiot.... big dissapointment. I'm not saying the whole CD is trash, there are some decent/good songs but after a four year sabbatical I hardly believe American Idiot deserved all the praise they got in those award shows. The band, sure but not this song and not all of the CD...just missing the old stuff I guess. Cheers. |
