I love the blood brothers. In my eyes, they can't do any wrong. But this song is absolutely amazing! Every time I hear it... it makes me ecstatic. They lyrics are just amazing, absolutely amazing. | I saw showbread last night and one of the singers said it was about a guy who goes to a cabin in a woods and finds tapes. Then he quit talkin about it 'cause the guitarist started playing, but it makes sense. By the way, if you get a chance GO SEE SHOWBREAD LIVE! They are amazing, by far one of the best live bands ive seen. They have amazing energy and let the crowd sing/scream with them if you look like you want to. yehh i think its about a porno. thats what it seems like to me. i think its about how a lot of young actresses go to hollywood to make serious films and end up getting sucked in to making porn flicks, and about how it kills their youth and any hope they have for the world. "and nothing hurts quite like the first time" i think that lines referring to how you just get numb to the pain of feeling used by the other actor's and actresses' when making the films for the pleasure of others. just my guess though. |

i just read that story on the internet... and i can totally see that it's about that. at first i was like... okay its about a short story, that must be one fucked up short story! but now that i read it, i can tell that this song is just their interpretation of it. i think that it is genius, but i think that just about every one of the blood brother's songs are genius. The end of this song is definitely my favorite. it makes me think of stockholm sydnrome when he talks about the little girl realizing how denver max will always be the only one. its creepy shit to think that could happen to anyone, you just never know. |
