Well, I absolutely adore this song, as said, it grows on you the more you listen to it. But as for the meaning, as said it is a concept album, and it is about, The Story of a man, A woman and a thousand corpses of a thosand evil men, So, if you think logically, it doesn't necessarily mean that the last one of "Thousand Evil men" is actually a MAN, or actually, any of them, so this could be either a man or a woman that is seduced then killed (Also suggested in "Prison") as The Man's final Penance. You really can't tell if the man gets his woman(if indeed it is a woman), personally I think the woman may be Helena (which may sound twisted, when you know the logic behind the name) but that would be a woman's death for whom perhaps the man kills the thousand evil men. It is not necessarily sexual as some imply. Though the album could be considered sexual, after songs like "Prison" and the video for "I'm not okay" may suggest, but I believe that is to do with the concept alone.... as "The Ghost of You" in the lines, "For all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me" , also kind of would back up the fact that the wo/man died, Or indeed a partner in these Heineouis crimes as perhaps indicated also in the song "Hang 'Em High" as that would explain the bit, "If I Fall/ And don't look back". I also think that this album So... this song is one of pain, anguish, remorse and siffering, perhaps not ended his life with these bullets, but it could be a metaphor, for how he has lost that side of himself as the thousand evil men are dead, and his sin's forgiven. The bullets and the two shots, would show how he has given up his previous liffe and no longer is bound to kill these 1000 evil men.It is a powerful closing to a powerful album, it really shows us about the faults in life and how generally things are "Too Much Too Late". That is the porblem with "three Cheers for sweet Revenge" You only know the True meaning when you understand the album. |

Oh yes, and they obviously arent as unpopular as some of you believe. and they are far from poor. They have an enormous fan base, and I believe the longest it took for one of thier concerts to sell out was about 6 hours. which may seem a ling time but considering the latest of Slipnots was over 10. But you people really must lead a boring life to be flaming on here in such a way, try having a private life, its great. ninety percent of you are probably either a virgin or a promiscuous tart, male or female the gender doesn't matter. But did none of you people comprehend that the name Hybrid Theory was a dirivative of thier Hybridious style? if you did not, then again i recomedn English lessons or a dictionary. |

Right look, No one has forced you to listen to the song, all of you haters out there. You posted and read these opinions by choice. Did you not? Or did your mommy force you to read it? Look, you guys are seriously in the wrong place. If you like Deftones boards? Go to a Deftones board! We don’t have the invasive and the most diabolical front to invade your bands and criticize YOUR choices does we? Now the Truth is no matter how much you love or hate Linkin park, there will always be an adverse opinion. You people have no right to criticize our choices. Personally I am well Over 14, but the truth is, age doesn't matter it is how you react to people's opinions, or another word you idiotic Chav's may understand is called MATURITY. And also, finally, if you didn't quite comprehend the website name, it says Song meanings or in your native tongue, "wha' a bitta music says between the lines tha' i can' undastan'" So if you cannot explore the meaning of a song, without such obscenities, I pity you even more.
