| Fall Out Boy – What a Catch, Donnie Lyrics

This was the first song I heard off of FAD and having loved everything leading up to FUTC and just kind of liking that and hating IOH I did not really know what the expect. This song absolutely blew me away and I knew they were back in a huge way. Anyone who does not appreciate this album needs to pull their head out of their ass. Also, I find Beckett's singing "growing up, growing up" at the end to be entirely heartbreaking in a beautiful kind of way because that was the first FOB song I ever heard. |

whomever it is being conor sounds just like jonah hill, and also it somehow creeps me out when the radio guy says "just a couple of minutes" seems very cold and robotic somehow, i dunno |

| Say Anything – About Falling (feat. Matt Skiba & Laura Kirsch) Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
the tide rolls by and i wonder why i felt inclined to try
my starry eyes were sacrificed
the sea divides but i don’t want to get lost in the ocean now
and as our single climbs the charts
i feed on their virgin blood from their bleeding hearts
with my pants around my ankles, i play my part
i’ve built the ark but i don’t want to get lost in the ocean
earth starts spinning around to the motion of
that i don’t really even care if i’m alone now
and i don’t really give a damn about falling in love
body burdened by my heavy heart of stone now
and i don’t really even care if i’m alone now
their flesh is sustenance; i cackle as I prey upon the weak and poor
i have no feeling and this prison is a home
i have no heart, i sold my soul
and i don’t really even care if you’re listening
“why won’t you wait for me?
why aren’t you waiting for me?”
never again |

i dont know when this song was written but probably before this rant-off with Tim Kinsella, but this song could be max bemis "defending the genre" the dead girl being a metaphor the scene, and tim kinsella being the skinny mean man, i know that the times dont really line up, but interresting thought? |

i dont think it is about a girl who was LITTERALLY killed by an ex boyfriend, perhaps metaphorically, the chorus is so fucking good, this cd is going to be epic, i CAN NOT stop listening to this song |

"metal" is referring to what the girl uses to hurt herself, "metal now but i've always been" is referring to how he is just another way the girl hurts herself |

whats so mature about writing like 4 songs based solely on how your maturing without making better music? very dissappointed in this release and im postting my dissappointment on this song cause i found it utterly obnoxious, maybe they should stick to girl songs if this is the best they can come up with |

yeah, its impossible not to wanna throw up some horns when you hear that riff, and as for the title, ummmm all i can think is how unicorns are like fake prettier horses and how prettier girls can be fake? thats a pretty lame guess but its what i came up with |

| Bayside – Head on a Plate Lyrics

i think this song is about how the bands nowadays seem to try and come up with the biggest gimick(please don't hold spelling against me) instead of making music that they are proud of and will stand the test of time, up until this cd came out i was feeling really down about the state of the "scene", i hadn't really been impressed with any albums the last couple of years and it seemed inevitable bands would start breaking up and blah blah blah, well in short i think bayside could put the rock industry on their back and carry them following this cd |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Passenger Seat Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
|
i think this song is from the viewpoint of a child, because his legs are short enough to put his feet up on the dash, and he's in the passenger seat, not driving, and because of the part where he asks the question about shooting stars and satelites, the way a child asks a question and the adult can't really answer it and they just smile, and that feeling about when you're still so young and you don't know about the world, and all the craziness "the world doesn't matter", and i think the last verse is the adult talking to the child |

| Death Cab for Cutie – We Looked Like Giants Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
i feel like this song is about an affair, and the reason its in a car is because they have to drive out to "a still suburban town" where no one will see them and they won't get caught. i think of an affair because of the lines "Goddamn the black night,
With all its foul temptations,
I've become what I always hated,
When I was with you there."
and "I don't know about you,
But I'd swear on my name,
They could smell it on me.
And I've never been too good with secrets"
he hates how tempted he is physically be the other woman but he can just not say no, this song is not about love it is about lust |
