Not to be the one who brings up an overused topic but, I think it has to do with drugs. Shaun the singer had problems with drugs and the lyrics go along with that. 'The scars I am left with swallow again' could mean both mental and physical scarring. 'I can't take all the pressure sober' means he could falling off the wagon. Obviously this person has had a hard life and he feels tired of it and he doesn't want to drag others down by saying something's wrong. So's he is alone and he's just kind of letting him self fade away without people realizing. anyway old Seether rocks, new Seether rocks, Seether just rocks. |

Okay I just joined this site not very long ago so this post is kinda late but I loved it back when audioslave hadn't become so popular. Everyone I know listens to them now but whatevs. It was Tim that said Chris had said it about waiting to die. Also about regret Chris was an alcoholic and probably wasn't proud of things he'd done I know what that's like. |

This song is amazing. It feels like a suicide note and the person is telling you all these desperate things before dying. It's hard at the beginning then becomes beautiful and graceful. as for the first few posts yes their sound is different but nothing is truly gained or achieved without change. Did you not listen to Horns and Tails? listened to vermillion pt.1 and pt. 2 by slipknot peoples! |

I think the song is talking about the bush administration and the war. If you think about it like bush were saying these it kind of makes sense. He's telling America don't worry I'll make your choices for you so you don't mess up (go back to sleep). I think so many people have forgotten the importance of political awareness
