I think its about a fella moving away from home to gain a little independance, but he soon realises how hard it is. the lyric "Made a meal and threw it up on Sunday" is said to his mum on the phone and he confesses "I've got a lot of things to learn" A great song. |

This has to be the best "hidden classic" I have ever heard. Noel voice is perfectly suited to the subject matter (a combination of what Ciaran and Supersonic suggest) Also, strong references to family ("Please brother take a chance") that runs through a lot of oasis songs. And I agree with Glittershit and Idotech - it sounds quality live. |

I think there is a strong reference to childhood in this song.
"stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face" sounds like children getting ready for a family photograph to be taken. It is yet another reference to family, a theme that pops up in many oasis lyrics. This song defines the 90s for me. |
